You can question his fitness levels but to call him lazy and soft is ludicrous.

In the previous two league games, who was it that was chasing down the ball whilst his team mates were too busy consoling themselves?

I read a lot people here didn't think Robbie Keane chasing was good enough, well, it's me as well. I stand by what i said. VDV is good but not in my best XI.

Hudd goals from midfield?

What nonsense this is. We're not as good with our top scorer in the team? Give me a break.

What today confirmed above all else is how much difference a top class striker can make. We'll see how VDV does with Adebayor up top.

Top scorer ? OK well, i appreicate his efforts, but i think most benifts from his arrival, we switched our usual system from 4-4-2 to 4-2-3-1 and in the right time since our upfront line isn't the best since Keane & Defoe lost their best and Berbatov departs.

my main point, VDV arrival helped us to abandon 4-4-2 with two average strikers, specially all aren't good enough outside the box.

my only argument, If Niko & Giovani given more chance, a rotation with VDV, we could manage better than last season.

as for your point about Hudd, clearly you want to understand things in with negative way, no one suggested that Hudd is top Mid. scorer or like that, what i meant we needed more goals from Mid. or distance, since the likes Davids, Davis, Mendes, Carrick, Ghaly, Zokora & Palacios all not offered enough. But at this moment, since we've Bale, VDV, Niko, Giovani & Hudd, all are good with this and the need of someone like Gerrard or Lampard type ( like VDV as well ) reduced.

Adebyor arrival could mean VDV would be a bit better now, but i'm sure Giovani and Niko could be more better as well.

Paid a few visits to van Toorn and is practically fit again.. Latest in Dutch press is that he's dissapointed that Spurs have not signed him in for EL.
