Can't believe how underrated Llorente's performance is in here... He won so many headers tonight, played some very smart passes and gave the team a focal point.

Great performance.

Also noticed Modric causing problems and stayed around him whenever we were off the ball to make it difficult. Love the guy, genuine pro

My heart is still pounding. Tonight we saw this side, and our manager, evolve. This was as mature as I've seen us, we showed that we have a plan to deal with a team who have literally everything in their armoury.

Lloris was man of the match. There were some good performances out there but he made all the saves he was meant to make and one save which he had no right to make.

Aurier had a mad moment for the penalty, which was still harsh, but otherwise this was his best Spurs game, great driving runs, had Marcelo in his pocket and linked well with those in front of him.

Sanchez was manful, also his best game for us, don't think C.Ronaldo beat him once and and was unruffled even when we were under immense pressure.

Dier was magnificent, he was great at choosing when to sit with the other centre backs and when to push up onto their midfield, he made great tackles and interceptions and he won everything in the air.

Alderweireld looked as good as he has this season, some great blocks, knowing when to cover Vertonghen and when to drop more centrally, passed out well.

Vertonghen, apart from the face clutching which I dislike, was very good. He lacks pace but was never exposed for it, kept his position well and showed composure a number of times to relieve pressure.

Sissoko marauded forward well several times, linked well with Aurier, and worked tirelessly. A big part of ensuring our defence we're never overwhelmed and was clever in choosing which spaces to attack when he had the opportunity.

Winks was fantastic, tonight he showed that he's good enough in my opinion. Not at all daunted by the occasion, intelligent and varied use of the ball, one or two runs which put Madrid on the back foot too. Was him that started the move for our goal too.

Eriksen was off tonight, no covering that. Great overall awareness and movement as always so he wasn't a passenger, but his passing was off at a couple of key moments, he made the wrong choice with a great chance and he lacked that ruthlessness and zip which makes him special.

Kane worked his heart out and battered away at their defence, he constantly ran the channels, he moved well but he had our two best chances and on another night would have had two goals.

Llorente was okay as an outlet, he helped relieve pressure with nice cushioned headers and chests, but other attacks fell apart around him because he lacked the nimbleness to use the space as best as possible. Should've gone with his left too.

Rose came on and helped keep shape but had limited opportunity to do anything.

Son gave the ball away unnecessarily once.

Lloris was MOM, just had a worldie
Verts, TB, Dier and Sanchez where awesome.... stopped Real in their own back yard

Winks was not fazed, passed well... the kid has massive potential
Sissoko done great... if he can now sort out his passing it gonna be a great season

Kane - worked hard and was denied by a great save...so much better than Benzema
Llorente - grafted and was a great choice by Poch... Took the pressure off Harry and let him play, was a target from the back on a night we were always going to need to be defensive and neat them up a bit

Poch - damn good plan.... defensive shape with an outball, worked well tonight on probably the biggest stage there is

Rose - good new hair and nice to see him back, is he committed? dunno but tonight won't hurt

Crowd - awesome

result - awesome

Mate giving Dier an Okay is such a disservice!

Played an integral part in the centre of our defence and cleared everything absolutely brilliantly.

He was brilliant.

I thought he was outstanding and the pick defensively. Brilliant positioning and clever, yet simple football. Exactly what the doctor ordered.

Dier and Llorente seem to be getting overlooked a bit.

Dier was solid throughout and made plenty of clearances.

Llorente had Ramos and Varane on their tails throughout, getting himself up for headers. Plus was arguably unlucky not to have had a penalty awarded

He set up the Kane and Ericksen chances

Was more of pen than the one that was awarded for them imo. Not saying theirs wasn't a pen just that ours that wasn't given definitely was.

I agree on all but Llorente he served up to great chances if converted would of won us the game. He is what he is a good outlet, you can't expect everything from him, if we had of played Son from the start I honestly believe we would have been beat.

Gonna have to disagree with that, it looked to me like if Aurier hadn't slid in he would have buried it (even if Toby was closing in). Thought Aurier was superb other than that
