If Poch had set up for a draw last night he would have been ridiculed. you are dammed if you do you are dammed if you dont. We all know that we were going to lose last night. lets not kid ourselves. regardless of the setup. I prefered us going for it than losing rather than going out with a whimper and losing. at least for the last two games we have played high energy pressing football which alot of teams in the prem will struggle to play against↑
Noone on here seriously thought we would cause an upset because of one good performance against Everton did they?
It was David v Goliath!
....(Quote from yiddotilidie)
Yup and did David say , well I'm as strong as Goliath , I'm going to get my club and trade blows with him ? . No he chose a more long distance (dare I say counterattacking !) strategy . For Poch to try and outplay rampant Chelski at the Bridge tells me we have a rigidity problem at coach level . Poch has his style and thats what he's going to roll out whoever we play .
Keeping the religious theme didn't some prophet or other say ' Know thyself' . By anyone's reckoning we are weaker than Chelski
Poch must know this..why was this knowledge not included in his setup? His job is to get points on the board and adapting to the oppo is a central Head-coach trait imo .
Yes mate ,I see your comment re not having the players to play defensive/counterattack style . What ? and Sunderland do ?
Sunderland 'knew themselves' and adapted last week . A 0-0 with a twist of luck is a 1-0 win .
More pragmatism from Poch plz .
