1st Half - Our self destruct button continues to be pressed with Trippier the guilty party. Although you could argue that the blame could be laid at Poch's feet for picking him ahead of Aurier, the current popular choice. Kevin Friend the ref was definitely not our friend in this half.

2nd Half - A much better half where I saw the glimpses of the "old Tottenham" of two seasons ago especially in the last 25 minutes or so. We may have lost this game but it wasnt the walk over as most predicted, and I personally feel more encouraged for the rest of the campaign.

Just to give the Sissoko haters something to moan about, I am giving him MOTM, with Lamela, Winks, Dele and Toby as close contenders

Sissoko MotM, and I'm one of his haters. I just think the rest were worse.

Winks when he came on was great, someone who wanted to push forward, something Dier never does

Sissoko was very good, not because he only had a good game but he also kind of produced a comedy show - like a bogof - buy one ticket to the game, get a benny hill show for free

Winks was really good when he came on. Lamela started well but tailed off

Overall we did well and i think definitely a draw in all honesty, they had chances so did we. We had some clear cut chances namely Kane and Lamela

Sissoko by a mile our man of the match.

Glad Dele is back, improved when he came on. Winks looked class again and should be starting every game.

Bit disappointed with Kane’s overall performance considering he’s meant to be our best player.
Wasn’t Lucas’ type of game and the full backs were both as painfully average as usual.

Thought we did okay, although feel like City were quite below par in attack today. Lamela’s chance was the moment and he has to be scoring that.

Sissoko, really actually warming to him. Even his comedy moments aren't as infuriating anymore.

So many weak links in our team though, Dier and Dembele is just a damp anus of a midfield. Davies should be playing for Burnley, and so still should Trippier. Not a Moura fan either, big part of the collective problem imo, despite looking incredibly fancy with the ball. He's fake Gucci.

I'm Lamela's biggest fan, but that miss really disappointed me, thought we were past that by now.

Sissoko clear man of the match in my opinion. Lamela was good and tried hard but wasted a really good chance but can't be too hard as he won us 3 pts last week.

Sanchez and Toby also good. Dembele, Davies were both average. I thought Kane, Moura, Lloris were below par and Trippier & Dier were both poor.

Lloris 5.5 Sloppy clearance almost led to a goal

Trippier 5 Bad mistake for goal and not his usual attacking threat
Sanchez 7 The Sanchez of last season, handled their pace well
Tony 8 Solid
Davies 6 Tried but not enough pace to cause them problems

Sissoko 8 Great atracking and defensive runs, lacked an end product
Dembele 7 Some good tackles and strong
Dier 6 Little impact on the game

Lamela 6 Found space well but missed a glorious chance and could've done better when in good positions
Moura 6 worked hard but rarely troubled Walker

Kane 7 great hold up play at times but should have taken his chance

Subs
Winks 8 MOTM Great driving runs, made more impact than Dier in half the time
Alli 7 Worked hard and gave us more end product in final third
Eriksen 6 Looked off the pace

Sissoko, Sanchez and Winks all with good games. I'm positively surprised by our play actually. Deserved something out of this one I felt.

Defeated, but not gutted for some reason.

There were a few shit individual moments defensively and offensively that cost us points, but there were glimpses of excellence too.

Enough to give me a bit of nenewed hope.

Sissoko by a mile. Winks looks like he's added so much strength to his game, looks quicker as well. I was never sure about him, even before the injury, thought he could go either way. He looks like he's going to be a great player now, he's matured massively. We've missed Dele as well, seems to have an air of confidence/arrogance that we need.

sanchez best game for ages

I thought defensively he was great, but his playing out from the back was dreadful. So many easy options taken by both him and Toby today, very frustrating. Today was a great example of why Jan Vertonghen is a huge miss for us.

Lloris could do nothing about the goal, made a couple of routine saves, and a routine mistake too,

Trippier was a horror show, but Saint Pochettino loves him so that’s okay. His mistake lead to City’s winner and it didn’t get better from there.

Sanchez was okay. Dealt with Aguero well on the whole.

Alderweireld was okay, a few decent interceptions and generally read things well.

Davies has his best game in a while, no real trouble down his side and a few purposeful passes and bursts forward.

Dier was predictable run rings around by City’s midfield, but Pochettino loves him so it’s okay.

Dembele was slow, weak, clumsy and rash, but Pochettino loves him so it’s okay.

Sissoko epitomised our performance, lots of huff and endeavour but no quality when it was needed.

Lamela was involved constantly and did his best to force something but his dithering was frustrating. Horrible miss at the end.

Lucas being called a headless chicken would be generous tonight, he was all over the place and his dive was pathetic.

Kane improved a little second half and the Will was there, sadly the touch, passing and composure wasn’t,

Winks came on and instantly improved us. How he’s been unable to dislodge Dembele is a mystery to everyone but Pochettino.

Dele was a genuine threat and almost opened things up but sadly it was too little too late.

Eriksen managed to take the two worst corners of the match.

Pochettino, it’s all well and good having passive aggressive digs at the club who pay you so handsomely pre match, but when you decide to pick a side out of a George Graham wet dream against the league’s most free flowing side it might be time if you are in fact the cause of your unhappiest moment in 4.5 years.

Winks my motm followed closely by Sissoko. Sissoko would’ve won it outright if he’d made more of that opportunity in the first half and not give away a silly corner. Other than that, by far his best performance for us and IF he did that every week I’d be more than happy to have him at Spurs. Ran forward with confidence, tackled well, passed well, caused city lots of problems. I’m giving it to Winks because he did so much in his short time. Exactly what we were missing from the start.

Well done Sissoko.
