What is striking, however, is how Manchester City’s dominance has warped the perceptions of the teams below them. Tottenham have only two fewer points now than they did at the same stage last season, and yet courtesy of sitting fifth in the table their Premier League campaign has generally been seen as a mild disappointment.

“Because City have done so well, people automatically think everyone else has done badly,” Kane said. “We’re probably at a similar point to where we were last year. We’re through in the Champions League. We're changing grounds. So it's been a good season. We’d have liked to be up there with City, like every other team, but we’ve got to fight for what's left. We're still in the FA Cup, too.”

Let's not forget Kane should have had a tap-in for the century, terrible decision from Sonny to shoot near post rather than square it and as a deserved result, the most annoyed I've ever seen Haradona.

What a performance! Haven't seen us go after a team and hunt in packs like that for a while. The commitment from the whole team was amazing to see. What ever Poch's teamtalk was before kickoff he needs to keep it for the next few games. 10/10 for effort for everyone.

Verts, Eriksen outstanding, absolute class. Damn we miss Eriksen when he isn't fit. Sanchez wasn't far behind, very cool customer, still makes the odd unforced error but he's young and learning his trade still. Will be a beast in a couple of years time.

Trippier, Dier, Dembele, Davies all did their jobs perfectly. I was a bit worried before kick off, thought we'd struggle to contain ManU's front 4. Thing is when your midfield is destroyed by Dier and Dembele it kinds of leaves your front 4 fucked :D Really pleased for Trippier as he's been suffering lately. TBF they did make it easy for him down the right and he took full advantage of it.

Dele, Kane and Son brilliant and defending from the front, Kane bullied their CB for the whole 90 mins and held the ball up brilliantly. Dele seems to be finding his form again and that tackle on Sanchez was superb!! Son was chasing everything and both he and Kane unlucky not to score. In truth they were both a bit wasteful in front of goal but it didn't matter and just saved ManU from the 5 nil tonking they should have got.

Lloris and subs all did what was required.

Tough game at the weekend and Liverpool won't be the pushover ManU were from a physical point of view. They will press us and work hard but I fancy us to take it to them and get a result. Kane to get his 100th goal and Dele and Son to get one each too. COYS!

Son was really selfish on several occasions. I really don't understand why they keep being so selfish. Look at Barcelona. They don't care who scores, just as long as someone does. It's about the team, not the individual.

Son was brilliant last night and Kane pretty much never passes so he can't complain/ The truth is they are both real finishers and shooting is what they are about and generally what we want. Last night anyway Kane was the one player below par so perhaps Son thought he would miss it

I say the same thing when Harry does it. There is no excuse for not squaring a ball to a team mate for a tap-in. None.

Guys, guys, guys read what I said, I'd take Kane too. No argument. I'm not playing devils advocate here. Kane is a phenomena. All I said was:

I also think Lukaku would be a better all round player than he is now if he'd spent the last 4 years under Poch at Spurs.
Wanyama shed 7kg after he joined us from Southampton. I think Lukaku could benefit from changing his diet and gym regime.

Apart from when you're on a hat trick.

Disagree. Team and club above individual every time. So if the score was 2-2 and Kane is on two goals and has a chance to square it to a team mate for a winning goal, you think it would be ok for him to take a shot from a ridiculous angle instead with a very low probability of scoring?

Different obviously, if it's a tight game and a player has a chance of squaring a pass for a better shot at goal then he should pass, if we are cruising however...
