Really trying not to post bad things about Lloris, but how many times do little daisy cutters across his body have to squeak in til we admit that he needs to do a better job at cutting down that angle?

Don't understand why anyone is targeting llorente on twitter. It is true that we need a zaha/ricahalison type player. And it is also true that he is unlikely to score many goals for us. But llorente at least get his job done. He attracts defenders and thus releases Kane and (to a certain extent) Dele more space, hence the equaliser. I remember at a moment there are 3(!) west brom players man-marking Dele outside the box. And that's why we need llorente.

He should not be blamed for not being Zaha or Salah. It is Levy and even Poch's fault not to bring in these type of players for almost 2-3 seasons (I don't really consider GNK). At least I think he did his job reasonably well today.

Special mention for the refs gutless performance and refusal to give foster a yellow for time wasting until it didn’t matter.

I really do wonder why we don’t just get rid of stoppage time and employ stopping the clock for balls out of play so every game of football is fair. Add that to giant steps forward in using video refereeing so these ****s don’t have such a big hand in deciding who wins games. We have been fucked by referees in the league so far this season.

Worryingly this was probably the best team we can put out in the absence of Alderweireld and Wanyama, other than Rose for Davies. We could have easily lost especially with the 2 chances West Brom had at the death.
We looked insecure at the back, lacking ideas in midfield and short of numbers up front against a packed defence.

Lloris 6 nothing to do.
Dier 5 Too much time talking and complaining. Lost his head for a while. As usual especially poor when he went to midfield. Should have gone off rather than Vertonghen
Sanchez 4 Bullied by Rondon.worst game for us.
Vertonghen 6 Did nothing wrong but not as commanding as usual
Trippier 6.5 Put in some good crosses in the second half
Winks 5 Poor today
Eriksen 3 Terrible game , lost possession constantly , no quality in his play today, even worse than against Arsenal
Alli 4 Poor decision making, slightly redeemed by his assist.
Davies 4 No better than he was against Arsenal
Son 6.5 Kept on trying, running at defenders . Did ok.
Kane 6.5 Some poor shooting from outside the box. Of course as usual if anyone is going to score it was always likely to be him.

Dembele 6 Did ok , held on to the ball well as usual, we looked better after he came on

have no problem with conceding it happens in football, but i want my keeper to make it as tough as possible to do so. Not by giving the opponent half of the net to aim at.

glad to see Lamela's had a good day, and hope he get's match fit asap, but the best we can hope for on Tuesday is him on the bench. Be a bit mad to see him immediately make the jump into the starting xi after so long out.

Dier, shouldn’t be in defence with Wanyama injured, we were better when he switched to midfield.

Vertonghen uneventful, can’t remember him doing much right or wrong, then subbed.

Trippier tried his hardest but his lack of zip showed.

Winks was anaemic, a poor version of David Howells today.

Eriksen was cowardly, predictable and half hearted.

Davies strengthened Rose’s hand in contract negotiations.

Dele, assist aside, was dreadful. Weak, clumsy, sloppy.

Son at least brought some inventiveness and energy to our attack but, as is often the case, lacked any product.

Kane was poor again, barely touched the ball until the final twenty minutes. Deft finish and found some fight after that but too little too late.

Dembele improved us no end. If he can start the next two, he should. A good Dembele makes everyone else better.

Llorente just looks ten yards behind everything.

Kane - 7 - Good goal, tried but had no support from his midfield.
Dembele - 7 changed it for us. Ran with the ball and most importantly passed the ball FORWARD.

I'm not even gonna bother doing ratings for the rest except Eriksen - 0 - who was absolutely useless all game, closely followed by Alli who gets a point for the assist.

Rose and Aurier have to start against these teams when they employ those tactics.

Poch - seems clueless on what to do about this.

Perhaps he could speak to Pep!!

You have to be brave and play an extra attack minded player... Also Try Llorente up to and drop Kane behind where he might have more space.

I've seen this movie a few times. Spurs classic but should be outdated now.
Need quicker thinking and passing from the off.
Strong lively team on paper. But we don't play on paper.
Concentrate on the Champions' League Poch.
