Welcome to the Spurs Vs Wolves Match Thread! COYS!

We want to bring the joy back into match days as these threads have just become full of over the top from at least a handful of posters. While we understand and have the same frustrations on the team and the performances the constant beating on the same players for just being picked is tiresome the same with going over how we didn't get more players in during the transfer window. We would rather not limit peoples access to this thread, so please before you hit post just read your post back...

STREAMING SITES

We cannot allow the posting of links to Streaming sites/apps and as a result of that do not allow posts asking for them as they invariably result in someone posting a link. Please do NOT hint at having, post or ask for links to streaming sites. The latest 'clever' way around this is to drop hints. That'll have to stop too I'm afraid as again, it results in people posting links.

Very confident about this one, ATM at least ?
Perisic to start, maybe Bissouma too. Important that the crowd keep supporting us, if we struggle early on

Conte or not we should have more than enough for this one and we continue gaining points from corresponding fixtures last season.

They have some good set pieces takers, hope Jimenez and Moutinho don't recover back from injuries yet.

How big a freak out will there be when Conte drops Son for Richarlison in this one?

See I think I would because Wolves are going to sit deep so not a lot of space to run in behind. Need an early goal I think. Gonna be a horrible game

12.45 kick offs worry me.

Brighton loss. Burnley slog (right after NLD I know) cant think of the others last year but lets hope we're right at it.

Perisic and Bissouma in for this I reckons

Not easy lunchtime kickoffs, the crowd is important.
Didn't realize Traore is back for them, he always worries me, though maybe only is a sub

Very important game this. The point at Chelsea is only a good one if we follow it up with a win against Wolves.

I'm hopeful we'll be able to settle into our game a bit better than we were able to do yesterday. Chelsea are a very bad match for us stylistically.

Good news is that despite the point both Conte and the players are aware improvement is needed, the late draw was mainly a morale booster. Hopefully a good week of prep ahead will lead to a good win to start the weekend.

This is a massive game now for us Wolves have been enjoying away wins against us and us winning away to them

Never realised the Champs league starts in 3 weeks. Need to take advantage of full week preparation.

I expect to see Perisic starting, and maybe even Richarlison, Doherty, Bissouma and Lenglet - but not in reaction to the Chelsea game.

Given how the pre-season unfolded - disrupted for Perisic, Doherty, Bissouma and Lenglet, and Richarlison's suspension against Soton - I think the plan would have been to go with the known players v. Soton. Then, given that they played well, stick with that team, who understood Conte's tactics v. Chelsea. (You can't have Sess play that well against Soton, and then bench him for the next shiny thing who is coming off injury...you have to show confidence in him).

3rd game was always the first game to expect some rotation, and bring other players into the mix. The one caveat is now Conte's suspension from the bench. His instinct might be to stick with players he knows and trusts when he can't be on the touchline yelling at them.

Still, I think Perisic will be introduced, and Doherty to start against his former team. The others might have to wait a game or two to get into the XI. But, I am sure Conte wants them all feeling like they belong in the XI so it will happen soon.
