I do love the olympic sports although I generally watch them for two weeks every four years and couldnt care less inbetween.

Saw a bit of the Australia match....it looked more like a track meet than anything else, think the Aussies ended up winning 57-0 of something ridiculous. They had a couple who were pretty.

The road race was superb today, a really excellent course. I'd love to see them do what we've done and have a legacy event based around that course, hell if boring shit like the Tour of Qatar can make World Tour status then a one day race on that course can. Hope all the riders who crashed are ok - Porte looked like he came of worse, and the Mexican guy who rode straight into a bush on a flat, straight section. The only downside was having to wait another Olympic cycle for an untarnished champion. That and the BBC presenter trying to goad Chris Boardman into slagging off the GB riders at the end of the race.
