That ball is doing weird things.

Or the ball has consciousness and decided that pissing off the beast is a bad idea and decided it had better go in. You can see the moment it made it's mind up.

"going this way"
"going this way"
"hmmmm... the beast kicked me"
"ummmm...."
"going that way" :cautious:

This is how that goal was described in this Samba Football article;

The Brazilian scored a freak goal in Tottenham's 30 win over Fulham yesterday as he attempted to lob Mark Schwarzer in goal from the half way line only for the keeper to palm it against the post and into the net.

Agreed. And Bale, Caulker, Lloris, Defoe, Lennon. And a couple of others too.
your comment is not missed here, I was just tipping te cap to the newest crucial players - Vertoghen was a steal. and, plenty of SC posters were questioning Dembele's ability and impact prior to arrival. these 3 are key now and have not been around forever

Indeed. Was just having a larf. Once Verts moves back to CB he'll be the best in his position in the universe. Re Sandro, I thought his last couple of games have been below his normal high standard, then Defoe says he's got a calf injury, which makes him even more of a hero.

I've been wondering why Sandro doesn't try to shoot more often. He has the power and like all Brazilians, he can control his volleys.

He's been immense. He could get into any team in the country, and pretty much any team in the world.

When Utd, City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all have midfields that don't have a true ball winner in there, we should be signing Sandro up to a 10 year contract.

Good player who can only get better which can only be great news for us. His passing and shooting are the two main areas he can improve on, it's not a negative comment but a positive one, that as he matures and improves we will have an amazing player on our hands.

Late swerve on the shot befuzzled the keeper big time. He was thinking it was going wide but he'd dive just to make sure then suddenly it swerved and he was in big trouble.

Sandro is the best ball winning midfielder in the prem this season. Every time I try to make an argument for somebody else they just aren't as good.

How long is his current contract with us? Has he signed a new one?

He's got 4 years left hasnt he? Think he signed a new 5 year deal last year.

Hopefully we give him another in the summer before everyone else realises what a beast he is.
