I like him and I want to keep him. And I think this quick scape-goating of players is horrible. Guy is MOTM and a thread like this appears. Sad really.
He was okay. He must start to take his chances. But when the Bale situation is sorted I think he is a good enough squad player. Still very young, don't forget.
Disagree. Soldado scored his only chance, Gylfi missed three good ones. Soldado had fuck all service, but his movement was good all game, plus he made arguably the best pass of the game to set up Gylfi.
It's not Soldado's fault that he isn't getting the service.
all I know is that we definitely can't go the entire season with him in that position, because he's clearly not up to it. don't mind him as a squad player, but never in a million years is he going to be a top-class #10
He was outstanding there for Swansea...
... and Hoffenheim.
Why can't he play well there for us?
Are you having a laugh?
Soldado did nothing other than score a penalty (not that I am complaining - that in itself is a huge achievement for a Spurs player).
I can only assume the pass you are referring to is the 10 yard pass inside to Siggy which he put wide second half? If you genuinely think that was the best pass of the game I can only assume you just watched the highlights.
I watched the whole game live, thanks. If you thought Soldado did nothing other than scoring a penalty then you probably need to watch a bit more closely. He did his job very well. I saw him making good runs off the ball behind the defence, only to not receive the pass he needed. He dropped deep at times and held the ball up well. If he doesn't get the right service, which he didn't, then there's not a great deal more he can do.
That pass although not supremely difficult, created the best chance of the game (in open play). We all know what a certain Mr. Defoe would have done in that situation.
Oh how I miss Rafa Van Der Vaart
This seasons Dempsey thread!
