I vote yes, but if we could get a world class manager in then i'd be happy with replacing him.

Sacking him now would be foolish and risk de-stabilising our squad further after the blow of not having any CL competition next season.

At the same time Levy should use his strong hand vis-a-vis Redknapp to put in place some measures that will help the club in the long-run, for example putting in place an experience Director of Football who can work with Redknapp.

My take on last season is that Redknapp took his eye off the ball as soon as the England speculation started. Levy needs to make sure that he is given a regular kick up the arse to keep him on his toes.

Voted no.
Can't see DL giving Harry a new contract, next season with HR in charge could be a mare with him running down his contract.
We need a fully motivated team from management down to compete for 3rd place, DL will do whats best for the club.

As a person, from what little I know of him the man is a liar, and comes across as not a very nice person, but as a football manager, he's one of our most successful ever, and that's what matters so I voted yes.

i think i would rather him to stay, though AVB does seem like a tempting idea. The fact that harry hasnt won a thing and is still one of our most succesful managers ever is worrying

I go with yes but agree with the opinion that if Levy replaced him I won't go home crying to mummy.

I'm not too fussed to be honest. We need to move onwads and upwards from 'arry sooner or later, be that this season or the next. If the right candidate is available we should make the move, if not we should hang fire and stick with what with got.

In light of the above, i choose the 'Goat' option.

Voted yes but on the basis that I want us to avoid instability if at all possible. If, as may be the case given (allegedly) poor relationship between HR and DL and only 1 year left on contract, keeping him is expected to bring greater instability than moving him on then I would support his removal.

As others have said, its not a simple yes or no by any stretch as there are so many variables to factor in:
HR's relationship with DL
HR's relationship with the players
HR's focus in the Spurs job
Whether HR is opposing DL's moves in the transfer market

All of the above are very much a grey area (unless you absolutely believe everything the ITKs say, and even some of them are disputing this), and so we will ultimately just have to trust DL's judgment on the saga. I think the majority of fans consider Levy to be a greater asset to the club than Harry, even though he is being criticised for dragging his feet over Vertonghen somewhat.

In a perfect world, the answer is no. But I don't want him sacked. I'm desperately hoping Rodgers sticks with Swansea for another year, and when we put Harry out to pasture at the end of his contract, we get him in! :)

Its not that simple: I wanted Harry to be offered the England job only so that it forced our hand regarding a new manager but that hasn't happen so I'm prepared to stick with Harry for another season ie role on contract dependant upon how we progress.

Just saw that SP... :(

This has to have been the worst end of season set of events I can remember.

This is melodramatic, but I can't help feeling like this is going to be the beginning of the slump back to mid-table mediocrity for us.

On the plus side we still have Levy in charge.

On the negative side we have the weakest manager by far out of the big six clubs, and now Chelsea have strengthened only the fourth best squad. With someone like Rodgers at the helm I fear Liverpool will leave us behind. And with Wenger at Arsenal we'll need a bigger squad advantage than we currently have to make it tell.

All of that said, it's often when things seem their gloomiest that good things happen. And who knows? maybe there's another bright young manager about to make his name? Can't see it myself though... :(

Harry has his faults but better the devil you know than the devil you don't, no guarantee a replacement will do any better and could well do worse

Stay vote for me

TBH, I think you are overreacting a touch.
For a start, I believe Rodgers will need two or three arduous years at Liverpool, maybe four, before he gets them competing. Even then ther eis still the issue of the missing stadium. Will he get that type of patience from the Scouse fans with their overweening sense of entitlement? I doubt it. More like they will be expecting to be challenging for the title by november, when, frankly, even with a genuinely top manager I think that they have their work cut out to even break the top 4 within the foreseable. This is honestly no sour grapes, but I think we were a much better fit for him than that shower. No new stadium even planned, a decidedly inferior squad, medieval training facilities, a youth team packed with traditional English/British youth player types, all physicality and competitive edge, and no finesse - does he know what he has taken on?

And, really, despite issues with Mr Redknapp, largely to do with his narcissistic, verbal diarhaeah media obsession, going missing when he thought he was getting the England job, sheeeeee-ite, we still finished 4th. With our squad + and him concentrating on the job, I don;t think we will be in too much trouble, TBH. With a few strategic additions, I think we'll will be good to go. Verts will be a good start, and one of our biggest problems last season was the uncertainty at centre-half. And we have to believe the strike force will be better, and we have reason to believe it is so. Sandro will come on again.

Like Ramos? like Santini?

Ramos was the hyped manager in Europe when we signed him but an unmitigated disaster, Santini was a highly respected international manager, no certainty a 'world class' manager would be a success

I disagree liverpool this season have been very good except for the fact they havent put the ball in the net, they have hit the post more than anyone this season, if they do start hitting the back of the net they will be up there

Just because they finished 8th doesn't mean they won't be up there next season we finished 8th in 2009 and ended up fourth the next season with a bit of a tinkering, while I'm not saying they will finish 4th but i do think they will be in the race

This isn't what any sensible Liverpool fan has been saying, not even slightly. They've played turgid football, their expensive Brit signings have flopped horrendously, Gerrard is causing way more problems than he's solving and they missed Lucas terribly. Hell even Reina's not been doing well, and he's been a rock for years.
