Yes, I'm pretty sure that Poulsen would leave, because Spurs would offer a much more lucrative contract than the one he's probably on at Sevilla.

For the last couple of seasons, Sevilla punched way above their weight in La Liga. They were a buy them cheap (eg Alves & Kanoute), sell them expensive (eg Baptista & Reyes) club. That means that the wages they pay their players will be fairly low by CL standards.

Having made the financial case, I do naturally hope that Poulsen will also want to come, firstly, to play for Ramos again, and most importantly to pull on the famous shirt.

But it's wether or not the club want to let one of their best players go to a club that has recently pinched their best manager for ages....

I think Ben is a top class ITK (as is Dragon) so always pleased to get info from him

if we get 2 good or better mids and a CB I'll be happy with that window

I've just remembered I had a dream where we lost 5-0 to man city in the cup

On a more relevant note... who the hell is Poulsen?

Well, as I've posted before, it all depends on whether Poulsen does have a £7 million release clause. If he does, and we offer £7 million, Sevilla can't block it. It's purely up to the player and the contract we offer.

If there's no release clause, then you're absolutely correct, and del Nido will quote us £20 million or something preposterous - like he did with Chelski and Alves. So, if there's no release clause, Poulsen definitely will not be heading to the Lane...

Looks to me that the situation at Spurs is worse than is widely perceived .

The chances of us qualifying for UEFA are less than 50% ; 3 proper cups , Intertoto , Fair play league .

The sort of experienced quality we need is unlikely to come without sort of European football .

The club is not as financially sound as it was 12 months ago due to money being taken out as dividends , depleted cash reserves and increased debt .

Is anyone else worried that the only way for the club to finance 3 new signings is to depart from financial prudence , take on a heck of a lot of debt and gamble that success will follow ?

I love ITK - it's often rubbish or news-lite but it's something to talk about!!!

Everyone needs to admit that those three magic letters draw us magically to the thread.

If Poulsen has a release clause then I suspect that he will be sought-after in January and not just by us. We have to hope that he wants to link up again with Ramos rather than just chase $$$'s because City and West Ham will pay more.

Poulsen was free in 2006, but we paid £8 million for Zokora instead. Last year Keita went to Seville for 4 million euros, whilst we paid £5.2 million for KPB.

New signings? I'd take our current lot being fit preferably.

A few more starts for The Prince would be nice.

YEs Keita and Poulsen both look excellent for Sevilla (from what I have seen)
Hopefully Ramos was the main man involved in selecting these players for them and more importantly... hopefull his coaching is what made them preform so well

I think Poulsen is a good bet. I don't expect us to sign any lightweights - we have enough of those.

Two tanks and a battleship at the back, please.

To have a battleship partner Dawson, a couple of frigates will give them the run-around.

That we would get really cheap from U.S. as they have already withdrawn all of their battleships from service
