If you can see Dimitar Berbatov, he can see you. If you can't see Dimitar Berbatov you could be only seconds from death.

Ivo, could you please reduce the size of that photo?

Can I suggest a compromise solution of referring to him as "The Angel Deermitar"?

It's simply a tribute to the brilliant description of Berbatov's face being like a deer face.

It's a good thing, as I'm sure kuwaity will let you know.... he seems to have a love for all creatures of nature, including deer, monkeys and goats.

Berbatov tamed the Ferrai horse, defeated the Lambo Bull and spat in the eye of the AC Cobra

I've just read through the whole thread again... I've been laughing so hard, I have tears in my eyes :) I forgot what an amazing thread this was.

kuwaity may not come on here anymore, but luckily he's left his MSN address. Maybe we can get him back on here and discuss Berbatov's deer face some more :-D

What a thread

I was thinking how sad this thread is, with yet another Chuck Norris recycled crap. I remember reading a similar thread a couple of months before Jol's sack. About Jol, that is. It appears to me the Chuck Norris rehash pops up every time to mark a fairwell.

Thanks to kuwaiti though, it turns into a mini-Barber/Hairdresser thread of SC Gold fame. :)

Almost hilarious.

Some true facts about Berbatov

Some true facts about Berbatov.
(less hilarious than a ‘deer-face’:) but true anyway)

His name originates from the Turkish word BERBAT, meaning anything from abysmal and atrocious to dreadful and fierce. See the rather abundant list of translations here: http://www.seslisozluk.com/?word=berbat&go_seslisozluk_search=+++Ara+++
Since the Ottoman Turks ruled this country for a good 500 years (by 1878, to be precise), it’s a nickname given by the Turks to one of Berbatov’s combative ancestors for causing havoc in the empire. Such nicknames are very common throughout the country especially in the utterly rebellious South-West corner of Bulgaria.

Berbatov was discovered by Dimitar Penev, former national defender, manager of the fourh-placed WC 1994 Bulgaria, intellectually limited person albeit with an eye for talent. Penev insisted on signing him for CSKA in Sofia from Pirin (Blagoevgrad), a club as famous for its academy as mush as, erm, West Ham. Penev himself was famous for mispronouncing Berbatov’s name on every other occasion, calling him 'Barboukov'. A Bulgarian version of Pleat, sort of.

Berbatov’s first professional contract was worth of 20 pairs of football boots. (yes, it’s an already known fact, but so are the Chuck Norris entries around here)

Berbatov was booed and jeered while in CSKA for missing clear-cut chances against arch-rivals Levski.
In fact he was never a big star in his club, luckily he was sold to Leverkusen some time later. He is still being derided by many of the football fans in his country (mainly Levski supporters) for the appalling Euro-qualifying campaign calling him ‘a catwalk model’ (hence, the nick-name Barbie):duh:.

His manager is an utter money-grabbing knut. It's no news, I know, but Dantchev is the ultimate money-grabbing cnut.

When his signing for Spurs was announced some poster on a Spurs-related forum (was it Footy-mad, I can't be arsed to remember) opined:
'Berbatov? Soundz like ive just farted in a bathtube'.
