Worst possible result. Defeat would at least have meant Conte gone. Old man Perisic is a disaster despite his goal. Would rather play Emerson there

Agnostic to the game. The players. The idiots.
Conte out

4th went to bottom of the league and struggled.

I feel for Sarr, thats the third time he's come onto the pitch where the opposition are right up at us and he's having to adjust really quickly to not having the ball and playing really deep.

Normally you wanna come on when you can gain control of the ball.

We haven't one an away match since Fulham on 23 Jan. In that time we have played Leicester, Wolves, Sheffield United in the cup and now Southampton. Absolutely awful to not have won any of those games.

I think we'd Perisic may have been a good depth option but as an attacking player with a lot of energy around him. Like how he plays for Croatia.

But we already have too many cloggers in the team who lack technical ability or agility or both
He is too old to be playing as a wing back

Exactly. They’ll get thrashed by someone next week.
You only have to look at Wolves getting done at home by Leeds today and Leicester only getting a point in the 5 matches they've played since beating us 4-1 to confirm that. We set up like absolute cowards away against the shittest teams in the league and very rarely get anything out of the matches because of it.

Rank corruption. Ref and VAR wanted to change the result so they changed it.

Climb in on Conte all you want but I don’t think we’re watching a sport here.

Odd thing is, I don’t really care. Yes ideally I want us to get top 4 and win all our remaining games but also I know this is a dying regime and It’s hard to feel attached to something that one knows is essentially in its death throes. We should have won that but we didn’t, sucks but that’s the nature of Spurs atm, now next game and in a few months next manager. So it goes.

Threw the points away.
A total lack of intensity. Far to laidback. Unnecessary playing around with the ball in our final third whilst under pressure just insane!!

A few points. Their first goal us not switched as 2nd half starts. Second goal plenty of defenders in the box but leave Walcott unmarked in the center of the 6 yard box? How do you give a penalty if there is no contact or at the very most a slight brush which in no way would cause him to go down - madness. I fail to see the purpose of VAR as there is no consistency about when they ask to referee to review his decision.
Overall we got what we deserved because we refused to have the same sense of urgency and desire to get 4th place as Southampton had to try and avoid relegation.

A very harsh lesson for Sarr. It wasn't a penalty but you cannot swing a leg like that and give the ref a choice.

How do you continue caring about football when it’s like this? My old lady who doesn’t ever watch the football said “where did he touch him” watching the penalty replay.

We thought we were making progress but instead outsmarted ourselves with the VAR shite. It really is a doomed state of affairs.

No doubt followed later at the press conference with some more

“the fans need to be patient with me, I know how to win and have told the club this, we are still top four, and for this shitty little club that I’m slumming it at, that’s like winning the league. The fans should be happy, we are not there yet, we need to fight for every point like we did today, im proud of the players, they were very brave and played till the last minute… it is games like this that show you we have to suffer, the players have to suffer… we are lucky to be where we are, almost as lucky as this club is to have me.”
Yes, just get rid of Conte.

Deciding to sit back against the worst team in the league when you're 3-2 up with ten minutes to go is a practically criminal decision on Contes part.
But it’s not Conte’s fault, it’s our fault. Everyone knew exactly what we’d get from Conte, we should have bought him the best players in the world if we expected him to be successful here. We have no reason to expect that a highly paid professional would sully himself with a role that required him to work with anything less than perfect resources. We know this. Our senior poster have been telling us this all season. It’s all our fault.

Regardless how corrupt this league and var is, you don’t throw away a 3-1 lead with 15 to go against anyone.
Just numb to spurs now, the collective iq on the pitch is probably lower than the shirt numbers
