This game i going to be hard and it could well be 0 - 0 at halftime again

Feel like 'very good' might be stretching it a bit. They lost a bunch of their best players over the summer and their only truly impressive result this season is against a Frankfurt side who are having a dodgy start to the season themselves.

They clearly have some good technical players and we need to respect them, but we're odds on favourites to win away from home against them for a reason.
Yeah lets not overstate things, very good is a massive stretch. They are already 8 points off the pace in the league and didn't city spank them 5-0 at their place this year, and that was before they lost anyone.

Confident for this one, really should be another three points.
I think Sporting are good on the break which I don't think will help them against us.

Be great if we can get the three points tonight, would be one step towards topping the group with 6 from 6. Especially with the next 2 being against Frankfurt who are having a a fairly poor season. Be nice to get it wrapped up before the Marseille game, would allow us to rest for Liverpool who will hopefully be fighting to get through in their group.

Would definitely save Son for the Leicester game, with Danny Ward in goal he could get four or five and blow the 'bad start to the season' narrative away.

Really not very optimistic and can't see past a score draw, which wouldn't be a terribe result

I watched the Frankfurt - Sporting match. There was very little in it up to the 75 minute mark. Both teams were competitive, but neither suggested a clear style of play that was troubling the other. Most chances were as a result of something opportunistic happening and a failure to quickly adapt in transition - something that we do pretty well.

Home advantage will help, but we should have too much for them.

We'll control the game and score one or two goals.

We'll win.

People will moan about the performance.

Standard...

I think it will be interesting tactically, both teams like to counterattack/ hit on the break. Might be a case of who blinks or effs up first

Probably right - I think I'm going to get in early with predicted player ratings, if only to incite the usual hate I get for it

Given the lack of dedicated ratings thread, I'll go for a prediction:

Not surprised by that performance - in many ways it's typical of what we've been doing: plenty of time when we look under par, but actually getting a result and really, they didn't threaten that much

Richi again proved a handful, and our midfield, while most would consider them workmanlike, both played pretty well. I'm glad Bissouma started to show his worth too.

Not too much from the wing backs - I'd like to see more attacking threat, but the front three made up for it, and they all had their moments.

Still not firing on all cylinders, but 6 points from two games puts us in a great position.

If that is the case I really dont think it would be us to blink first, Conte seems like he has us well drilled in grinding the opposition down.

If we don't then we'll take a draw and move on.

Yeah, they also played at the weekend so we should be a lot fresher.

Yes. It's great for us fans from the Asian time zone too. No more staying/waking up in the wee hours and live a zombie the coming day.
Great for the kids too as they can stay up and watch the whole game now. I usually have to pack them off to bed at halftime.
