Take it up with Squawka, not me:

http://www.squawka.com/contact-us

Do the other ratings seem pretty accurate? They do to me. Four players have 1000 + ratings. Kane, Toby, Dembele and Eriksen. Is that not an accurate reflection of who has been our best players? So why would Lamela be the only one who's rating is somehow grossly inaccurate? The numbers don't lie. And I think they also show who on this forum is the most astute judge of players.
Well yes, there are a few inaccuracies. I cannot see how JV (and arguably even Lloris) is higher than Dier, Alli, Rose and Lamela. Toby or Dembele should also be the highest.

Looking at it more, the 'performance score' seems to be an accumulation of different scores such as the 'Attacking score', 'Defensive score' and 'Possession score'. When I compare players and post it on here, I leave out these scores as they are incredibly vague, and also depend on how many appearances a player has made.

Also, I've just had a look, and according to these scores, Aston Villa defenders (the team with a disastrous defensive record) Joleon Lescott and Micah Richards supposedly performed better than Lamela. They were also better than Wimmer apparently.

The reason Lamela's rating is so high is because he has been so crap for so long, so for him to finally come good counts as double..

We are all relieved and I'm pleased for the lad, long may it continue.

Sorry but that's utter horse shit.

How times did our performances drop when he got subbed at 60/65 minutes? Countless times. And why? Because he keeps the tempo high with his tireless running and harassing and our style of play requires a high tempo in order to be played effectively.

Granted he may not have got as many league goals as we all hoped and he is by no means perfect but his performances went up ten fold this past season and deserves more credit from some.

You kinda just proved my point there... soo great this season and we are all relieved it's happened and glad we finally got a player...was a more of a tongue in cheek line.

Didn't prove your point at all, I'm basing it on this season and nothing else.

And I'm not ignoring previous seasons into why people may vote for him over others who were equally as good in matches..

Either way, we are both arguing that we thought Lamela was excellent this season... was just trying to give my view on why he got more votes.

Agree, the Squawka ratings and awards are a much more accurate reflection of a player's influence as there are no agendas or rose tinted spectacles involved. The comparison between Eriksen and Lamela is most interesting, and most at odds with the above ratings.

So you think 2788 votes are down to agendas? Riiiiiight

7 of the 10 games he got motm in we didn't win. i think when the rest of the team is below par, lamela often becomes the default pick because of his energy and work rate.

The SC MOTM Cumulative Points Tally Award is nothing to be sniffed at and Erik should feel pleased to have won it. I would be happy to contribute to buying him a trophy, this one perhaps:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Football-...372502?hash=item2eefd77d16:g:g0YAAOSwGotWkjMi

However, I was just pointing out that, outside of SC, there is no objective evidence to suggest his performances were superior to several other players in the vast amount of games be was voted MOTM in these forums. And there are in fact multiple pieces of evidence that players like Kane, Dembele, Toby and Eriksen consistently out performed him, and Squawka is just one of those, where Lamela won 2 "best" awards and 17 "worst" - a total no one else came near. The cause of this discrepancy is open to speculation. Sympathy? A willingness for him to succeed? But as I said, congratulations to him.

He probably gets more votes just to spite you and a cpl of others rediculous agendas against him :)

If the voting is agenda driven then the whole thing becomes a massively pointless exercise and whilst there may well be an element of that its not to the extent that it determines the whole affair because if its true of the winner then its also true of whoever comes second or third etc etc, so the whole suggestion of agendas is pretty ridiculous.

But then again........this is SC :p
