If Burnley are going to have a makeshift defence with no Mee or Tarkowski then we need to ditch our usual tactic of trying to draw the opposition out in the first 10 mins and start fast. Don’t give their defence a chance to settle.

It feels like this is a game where 1 goal might be enough to win it but we still shouldn’t wait until 70 mins in to show any urgency.
So agree with this.
Of course Conte is a top manager and I'm Joe Nobody, but I remember the Brighton game. Pure tedium, played right into their hands.
We need the crowd up for this and fucking around in our own penalty area won't do that.
To me, to you, drives me nuts

if we score an early goal it'll decide the game imo. the key will be drawing them out, the longer they keep us out the harder it'll become.

If I was Burnley, I'd try keep it tight for 70ish minutes then go for it at the end of it's 0-0 or one goal in it. They're not in the relegation zone, so it's Leeds that have the major pressure on them. They'll just want to keep the GD down as they have a much better one than Leeds.

If we don't score early I beg the fans not to get edgy and stick with it. We tend to grow into games more than starting straight away.

Prob going to have to watch this sober due to unreasonably early kick off.
Fuck you, BT sport.

I know it will be tough to get a good atmosphere given it’s such a early kick off but we really need to avoid the dead atmosphere we had vs Brighton a few weeks ago when people turned up thinking we’d already won. Fans need to get the players going from the start.
I can’t imagine the last home game of the season with what’s at stake, will be anything but a repeat of Thursday’s atmosphere.

Weather wise it looks good for playing football, rain forecast, not too hot for midday kick off

With Romero out, I feel a back 5 consisting of Sanchez is not needed. Wouldn’t mind us switching to a back 4 and getting another man further forward.

I have a slightly uneasy feeling that everyone is assuming this game is going to be some sort of walk in the park and it's a foregone conclusion that we'll win easily.

Dangerous.

Burnley are fighting for their premiership lives and it's a toss up as to which teams motivations will be more effective as we fight for a top 4 place and Champions League next season.

On paper of course, we should win comfortably and it's hard to see how or where they could hurt us, but when the pressures of football are so great and the timing of these final games is so intense, I guess it's fair to say anything could happen, especially as earlier in the season in the corresponding fixture, they did us 1-0 which was completely out of the blue, and set Conte off, questioning his own position (a knee jerk reaction which he has since laughed about, blaming his hatred of losing).

I'm going for a 2-0 win but I don't think it'll be as easy a ride as many are predicting.

It’s interesting if Burnley would be happy with a point or feel they have to win. Almost a shame Leeds don’t play first.

Actually looking at situation I think they’d take a point.

I just listed one on ticket exchange, as my partner can't come tomorrow, so there's at least one left ;)

I know I'll regret this but I think we'll win this comfortably. Purely because Burnley need to win. They cannot sit deep and hope for a draw. They'll have to come out. And when they do, bosh :)
I disagree. Burnley’s best chance of a win is to keep it tight and hope for a goal on a break or set piece, same as it would be any other time. If it’s 0-0 with 15 to go maybe they’ll have to come out more but I don’t think they’ll change their approach before that - hope I’m wrong !

Yeah I’m actually more nervous about this game than the Arsenal one. I thought we’d beat the scum but this could be tricky. Their manager said he’s been watching videos of us all week. Let’s just hope he falls victim to the manager of the month curse.

Grabbed a ticket on the exchange yesterday morning, just a heads-up that the ticket was print at home. I have a + membership and all other tickets this season downloaded straight to my phone, I just happened to check the email and it had a print at home ticket. Don't want anyone getting caught out ?
