This is what I’d ‘like’ and I say that because if there were viable alternatives to Dier and Davies I’d drop them in a heartbeat. I don’t care how bad Spence may be defensively, going forward he is a billion times better than Emerson and Conte is cutting his nose off to spite his face.

Not looking forward to this, they might not be as good individually but they have built a real team ethic & will run & chase for each other for the full 90 minutes. Based on our recent performances that doesn’t look good.

I wanted to be a bit adventurous so I put Bissouma in there instead of Skipp.

Now this is certainly the type of game where Spence deservers a start and it shouldn't be too risky to start him.

Leeds are such high energy, his pace and explosiveness could really exploit the spaces they leave instead of ponderous build-up from Doherty or just zero built-up and threat from Emerson.

The rest of the team if fit to start picks itself.

This Leeds team are going to be all over us like a rash. We need to look after the ball well.

Anyone who thinks a team who's only been ahead for 3 minutes out of the last 630 of football is going to roll a team like Leeds over easily is deluded. It feels like we're in a bit of a doom spiral of form and fitness. However If we can limit them to a one goal lead at half time we could still come back to beat them a la Bournemouth. If they take a two goal lead though like our previous 5 opponents I can't see us getting anything- we just haven't got the puff for a comeback.

They'll smell blood. They've got some good results from out working teams and fighting or every ball. Probably worth lumping money on us conceding first.
