I'll honestly admit that I didn't think we'd be able to defend so resolutely for the duration of the match. Absolutely outstanding effort all round.

Shame about Alderweireld, alot of tough fixtures coming this next 4 weeks against teams in and around us.

Absolutely buzzing, every single one of our players put a real dogged shift in.

Brilliant.

Once again we sat back(in a big game so it’s expected), BUT once again Hugo barely had anything to do. From open play he literally had nothing to do, Dias’ set piece header the only real threat. Brilliant defending and fighting form all the lads. These types of wins are so so soooooooo sweet.

We could be top for a whole week unless Leicester beat Liverpool tomorrow or Liverpool win by +10 goals.

Don't think that's happened since the 1960s?

Tactical spot on tonight. The teamwork was immense. Hojbjerg and Sissoko working like dogs in the middle. COYS

And my Winnering Every Post Syndrome has returned. Thanks a lot, Spurs, FFS!

EDIT: I am reading your posts while I do this, chaps - in case you were wondering.

Although the same result, a much more convincing performance against City at home this time around.

That just shows that we are capable of putting in a solid performance for a whole 90 minutes against a top team.

Whole backline was immense together with PEH and Kane.

Ndombele great first half. Gio fantastic cameo. Sissoko was awesome defensively.

MOTM? Either one of Kane, PEH, Serge, Dier, Toby. They were absolutely incredible.
Almost identical to my take just above, so I’m giving you a winner emoji ?

There's no MotM here - that was a brilliant team performance to a man who knew their roles in possession and out.

As a spine, Lloris, Dier, Hojbjerg and Kane is Jose's wet dream - leaders one and all and embody this Tottenham side.

Those bloody Newcastle and Hammers games.

Those were catalysts that Jose used to get the team playing as they are right now. You can bet he's always saying to them " don't forget what happened against West Ham, stay focused!"

Defensively we were excellent. That is our first choice back 5. Unfortunate about Toby but will be interesting to see who he replaces him with. Would suggest Rodon based on him being on the bench ahead of Sanchez........

Perfect set up from Jose and the players bought into the game plan. They all worked their bollocks off.
Hard to single out individuals but the honourable mentions for back four who were excellent. Sissoko also had a cracker. Special mention for PEH, the terminator. Every time he celebrates a tackle or them being offside, I get all warm inside.

Once again though, Harry Kane was different level. What a human.
