Is a good performance against Portsmouth going to change any buyers opinion to buy or not but him?

It's about making it clear that you need to move on. Not that they will stil make squads and get game time

Although I think Spence deserves a chance, this is unfortunately what happens when you buy Conte players that he doesn't want. Hopefully Levy has learned his lesson.

Completely disregarding any comments on his playing ability, it just seems cruel to keep playing Emerson at this point. We all exactly what kind of reaction he's going to get from the crowd today, I just do not understand what Conte hopes to achieve by starting him and putting him into that environment when we're playing a League One team and have other options to use in that position.

I dont think that is right though. I think as a club we should be investing in youth, these players will be here beyond Conte. Spence could turn out to be another Walker for example, so would be madness not to invest in someone with great potential. We cant solely be buying players for the here and now but need to think longer term. Conte needs to buy in to that and have that approach. All managers and coaches do it... look at Klopp, Pep, even Arteta
