I'm confident we will get a result against Southampton as I'm confident we will have a good season. However we are still a long way short of City and Liverpool even though we have strengthen the squad I don't feel we have bought a real quality player than can change a game. City have added Haaland and Liverpool Nunez they are top quality buys we haven't done that yet but as I said I think we will have a good season starting tomorrow with a 2-0 win.
I know what you mean, but we didn’t really need a star striker with Kane and Son. We managed to add richarlison who will be equally important to us. I’m most excited about the extra command bissouma will bring to our midfield having dominated so many teams last season…

come on guys get a grip, why is everybody here scared? its fucking Southampton for goodness sake and they're utter garbage for most of season, hence why they finished 15th last year.

3-0 Spurs.

3-0 Spurs.

Maybe because they absolutely shat on us in the corresponding fixture

What would people prefer:

Spurs 3rd Arsenal 4th - both get UCL
Spurs 4th Arsenal 5th - only spurs get UCL but we finish a place lower.
Would love for them to miss out again on UCL just for the banter factor..
If we get 3rd would prefer a decent gap in points to 4th, so we don't get the 'just 1 point BS'

Missing this and the wolves game, which is gutting. Visiting my daughter in Glasgow.

Hopefully a win today, by any means. You never know what Southampton are going to turn up.

Any win would be welcome but a 3 goal margin to go above the scum would be just lovely

Looking forward to the game. Team should be super fit and drilled now. My only concern is how many of the new signings will play!

Forster on the bench, Spence I think has a battle ahead of him, Perisic i think has a chance of starting, Lenglet I think will be on the bench, Bissouma is a bit short of fitness and Richarlison is suspended.

Much more strength in depth in the squad but I think the makeup of the team is likely to be similar to that of last season.

Even if none of the new signings start, they've massively raised the level of the squad, and they're all legitimate contenders for starting spots, so they'll push the players who have the shirt at the moment, and be great options off the bench. Most of them will get plenty of games as the season progresses, and likely plenty of starts too.

So... patience!

I agree to an extent (we all want to see the shiny new toys!) but let’s not forget how good we were for the last 7-8 games of the season. Those new signings will come into their own when the games start coming thick and fast. That’s when we’ll see the difference between us and Arsenal

Richarlison being out shows we are still light in forward areas. We're one substitution away from Lucas playing.
