I would be very happy if we didn't bring anyone new in and what we have stayed and see how the season unfolds but I don't think thats likely.

We're far more likely to keep the players here happy with a couple of good signings. They know we need more depth to compete in the CL together with the PL.

Carragher didn't say that, he said we need a pacy player to help us away from home, to be able to stretch teams by hitting them on the break with pace. He is right.

We have Son. Player of the month in September and April, over 20 goals this season. For example Leicester couldn't control him yesterday.

Anyone heard of a German striker called Arp? Plays like Kane apparently and cites Kane as his role model.

Arp's role model is Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane. "He plays the way I want to play. He's pacy and very comfortable with and without the ball. It's difficult to stop him. You need to pay attention for 90 minutes because he can score at any time."
He's a Spurs supporter as well.

Anyone seen anything of Maximilian Philipp? I've seen us linked with him a few times

Lets say, according to general consensus that Walker was most people's first choice of "who to sell if we have to sell one", who would everyone's second choice be ?

Are you just talking about the usual first XI this season, or including the likes of Lamela?

Sissoko ;) but only for BIG money.

Of the first 11 say...

How very dare you!

You're fishing for Dier.

Nah, genuinely not, I like Dier a lot, just not as a CM. I think he's hopefully got a big future as a Cb who's robust and tenacious, has a brain and can step out and play a bit, much like Alderweireld does now. I think he's also got leadership qualities.

I'd be very tempted to go for Lloris myself. Like all of our first team (lets say 12 inc. Son), I wouldn't actively push any of them out the door, but I think Lloris whilst being a very good keeper has some flaws and I don't actually think he's as good as some others do.

Obviously I'd actually chip in a few quid if we could offload Sissoko, but of the next group of players I really don't rate Davies much at all. I just don't think he's great in any aspect, even defensively.
