I just don't see Diawara as a likely option at all. Players just don't often leave Napoli. Since they've been on there run only Lavezzi, Cavani and Higuain have left there all for big fees. I just don't see him as being available. I haven't read the article but seems like he needs a new change of scenery. This was a player who was one of the most coveted CM's in all of Europe not so long ago. I think a manager who will back him and uplift him like Poch could bring out the best of him.

I can't say it was a pure ITK, but i do believe the rumor last Winter of Diawara being available was thumbsed up by a couple of folks. I could honestly be making that up as well.

I agree though, Napoli doesn't typically move their top earners, but again the papers were running that Diawara was available and some of the closest ins at Napoli were running it.

As for Andre, I think he has the ability to be a nice player, but that article screamed a general lack of love for the game. It's like that Australian tennis player that says he doesn't like the game, but has all the ability in the world. I can't remember who took him under his wing, but he still is up to the same antics and seems to care less if he ever becomes a great. Is that the same story for Andre? IDK and the story could be taken way out of context, but as a professional would you ever want any of that to run? There would have to be some truth to the story to print it and if there is a player out there questioning their love for the game, publicly have you, I would not want to drop the money on him to see what happens.

Napoli are reportedly after torriera from Sampdoria which could mean Napoli move a cm on in the summer

Please NO to Andre Gomes!
We wanted s loan a while back. Have not heard a ducky bird that he is in our first priorities, not even second list. Obviously his agents are trying to pep up the interest.

Fair enough, very interested to see who all we're looking at in the position. Only name to come out so far is Cristante, from what I remember. Another CM is desperately needed as obvious as that was made today.

Very confused about our AM options Dele Son Eriksen Lamela Lucas. As it is Lucas is barely getting a look in. Still feel we need that zaha type player for games like tonight. But that may push Lucas even further back. So do we sell Lamela. If it was a choice between Lamela and Lucas I’d have to take Lamela. That would then mean selling Lucas. I just don’t see how you could keep 6 happy. Unless it’s a martial/ Rashford that could be kane back up as well. It’s really confusing.

What does Zaha do that none of these other guys can do?

More I look at our squad more I think we need to get a new right back and get rid of trips and give Serge one more year.

Would not now be adverse to

Trippier Out....new RB in.

Rose out....Shaw or Telles in.

Sissoko out - CM in?

Llorente & Janssen out - Zaha in (move son to striker cover).

Then there is Toby obviously out and a centre back in if its not De Light I would not mind going for Maguire at Leicester or Manolas at Roma or Lenglet at Sevilla.

Vorm will leave so I would also take a look at Ryan at Brighton.

We have to think about homegrown players too...

Has he ever had a good game when playing for Barca?

Does he not suffer from some serious mental health issues? He was an excellent little player just seems Barca is to much for him. The fans are on him and it can't be easy.

Very similar to the Sissoko situation with ourselves

It's either his best days are over or that he needs to move on from Barca, although I'm not in favour of him moving to us (based on what I've seen when playing for Barca this season).

Wondering if anyone has seen much of Anderson Talisca this season? Diverse Brazilian midfielder with 18 goals in 41 games this season. Has a very commanding physical presence at 6ft3 and has the ability to play CAM, CM and also as a Second Striker/CF-type.

Apparently Wolves have made contact over an 18m deal, maybe someone worth keeping an eye on?

Not sure if posted;

Hertyid in De Ligt thread on COYS

"Already number one on our list if Toby leaves. And we are front of the queue. Huge Ajax connection and Jan turns 31 this month so natural progression over the next 2 years."

De ligt & Lenglet would be my top 2 choices. Although it makes me nervous getting that young at the position as far as De Ligt is concerned. We've seen Sanchez struggle in a couple of games against top opposition. Liverpool away, Man City last week and Juve ties stuck out to me. I think he's going to be incredible but I'd prefer a player like Lenglet I think as someone who has faced top opposition and seen all an opponent will throw at him. He feels like a Vertonghen clone when watching him play.

Either of these two would create an incredible partnership for the next 10 years (if we can keep the players long enough).
