I just don't see Diawara as a likely option at all. Players just don't often leave Napoli. Since they've been on there run only Lavezzi, Cavani and Higuain have left there all for big fees. I just don't see him as being available. I haven't read the article but seems like he needs a new change of scenery. This was a player who was one of the most coveted CM's in all of Europe not so long ago. I think a manager who will back him and uplift him like Poch could bring out the best of him.
I can't say it was a pure ITK, but i do believe the rumor last Winter of Diawara being available was thumbsed up by a couple of folks. I could honestly be making that up as well.
I agree though, Napoli doesn't typically move their top earners, but again the papers were running that Diawara was available and some of the closest ins at Napoli were running it.
As for Andre, I think he has the ability to be a nice player, but that article screamed a general lack of love for the game. It's like that Australian tennis player that says he doesn't like the game, but has all the ability in the world. I can't remember who took him under his wing, but he still is up to the same antics and seems to care less if he ever becomes a great. Is that the same story for Andre? IDK and the story could be taken way out of context, but as a professional would you ever want any of that to run? There would have to be some truth to the story to print it and if there is a player out there questioning their love for the game, publicly have you, I would not want to drop the money on him to see what happens.
