If he is and this is the result, then I'm getting him a Laura Ashley store card!

What could make a difference to us immediately with this sort of display? Appoint a proper on field captain! No disrespect to Lloris but we need someone out there playing out of goals. Today we lacked someone out there willing to put a bullet up the likes of Walker Chadli and Davis who were just phoning it in. That someone, a captain, needs to force the jog trotters to be accounable

City could well destroy us and arsenal will be embarrassing.

Lets hope we get our shit together.

Spurs fans seem to expect Spurs to play most teams off the field with scintillating performances but hardly any time - including the top-teams - does that anymore. Just look at Chelski or ManU.
Spurs are - whether fans like it or not - still in a transition situation (help, they sent out 18 First team players this summer), having a new DM, while Toby and Jan are still settling in as CB pair, the main creative spark, Eriksen has been out due to injuries, and up front, apart from Kane, Spurs are still experimenting to find their best "solutions". On top of that, Rose has been out (and yes it`s a huge difference between him and Davies as LB).
Spurs played with a 20 years old as DM and a 19 years old as the his partner. And still hold their own.

Dier again, what a player this guy is.

Imagine if we' signed a holding midfielder and he was playing like Eric. We'd be spaffing all over the place.

imagine if he signed a holding midfielder who could do more than basically CH work a bit further up the pitch ......

10-15% more effort and thought and weve won comfortably 4-0.

Chadli, walker, davis, ali, all them were coasting, chadli especially just infuriates the fuck out of me to be frank.

How many times are going to sing this song? He could not show it before so he was loaned to both QPR and Swansea where again he failed to deliver. Not good enough in my opinion and was surprised we kept him in this window. However would love to be proven wrong.

We only kept him because we didnt bring anyone else in Im sure he would have gone otherwise.

Played very well second half; first half was drab. Poch cut out having our defenders spaced around our box for goal kicks to give Lloris options and draw out the oppo. - which isn't working as Hugo often still kicks it anyway and the oppo retrieve and have a chasm in midfield to play into as we're too stretched/thinned out - and that helped a lot. Hope he abandons it completely and just uses the split CBs and one of the CM2 dropping centrally to pick up and generate play. Keep it simple for now.

Gonna take a while to sort out who our best 11 is, but we have an embarrassment of viable options at the moment and I'm loving that. Love the way our squad is shaping up. It's all about chemistry between players now and who will fire off who on the field and create sparks. We're still in transition and the competition for next seasons clutch 11 is underway. Townsend looked freshr than a mthrfkr and showed what he can do with his head actually attached to the rest of his body. Was great to see. Let's see if he can stay in that zone and not think he's wonderboy now because of it and revert back to randomness.

When Trippier takes his chance and supplants Walker as our mainstay RB our game will open up more. Our flow will still be stilted with walker in that position. He had a good second half though, overall, and has definitely responded to Tripp on his heals (and he actually blocked a couple of balls heading into the box *amazed*), but he just hasn't got the tool-set for what we need in that position now to compliment the other players. He will also always be batshit and do stupid things game after game after game. It will never stop because he can't control himself.

But, again, fair play to him for making the improvements he has thus far and turning down the crazy...somewhat.

S'land had their game of the season so far and look like they may turn out to be a decent outfit when the new additions gel properly. Dick is riding the rough patch and slowly getting his house in order.

We need to build on the vibe we had in the second half and start the next few games in exactly the same vein. Yes, we were giving loads of space as they tired and were allowed to play but there was good mental cohesion between them, unlike the first half, and they were on the same wavelength.

Dier and Mason were great. Son will be fantastic for us. intrigued at what front 4 combination will be the eventual winner.

Lamela was awesome in those higlights! Remember being hugely impressed When he matches Kaboul on speed and strength, allthough he shouldn't had gone all-in with the tackle...

With my Spurs-glasses on I can also see the creative potential in Son. Think he will come good.

Mason was Even more awesome Than I first thought!

It's our fans version of 'the west ham way', which they get rightly crucified for yet we get away Scot free...
