Not sure we need him given Tangangas form.

Tanganga is brilliant 1v1 but he still has to prove
a) If its 50-50 possiession open game, can he go forward & back constantly and have quality
b) If we are dominating, say against a Burnley, have quality on ball

Tanganga may be able to do well in all situation but that remains to be seen.

On other hand, Tomiyasu has been showing in serie A he has all the tools in his armoury to play well. Ofcourse, he hasnt played in PL.

Larger point being, Japhet has a long way to go - also sadly he is injury prone. So, we have to buy another RB regardless

I still like the look of this guy and think he'd be great as a RCB in a three or RB in a four. He and Tanganga could even play in the same threegiven their versatility. Would allow us to lose both Aurier and Doherty too perhaps?

Would still like us to sign him and look to move on both Aurier and Doherty.

As great as Japhet was today he's been very injury prone, and whilst I hope he doesn't get another injury this season, we need good depth in positions.

Still want us to get this guy. Tanganga is very injury prone and Doherty isn't good enough. Aurier wants to leave too

We should be able to sell Doherty and aurier and get tomi in while having a couple of mill change. Would be absolutely thrilled with that.

I agree. Glad to read in the itk thread that getting him isn’t dependant on Aurier leaving. I thought that may well be the case, unless of course he is now being brought in for his ability to play centre back too.

That would be great if there were any buyers for them, but there doesn't appear much interest.

Appears most of the clubs in Europe are struggling financially, besides a certain few. You would think a few clubs in England would look at both of them though.

Not sure what we would want for both of them, but I guess around £10mio each.

I don't know how this version of close compares with all the other versions of close we've heard in recent weeks but... it's close.

Edit - in the spirit of actually finding a source:
Spurs on Nandez and Tomiyasu—

"Unloaded" from Inter, which turned to Dumfries after a complicated negotiation with Cagliari, Nandez was by no means resigned to staying in Sardinia. Tottenham has moved on him in the last few hours. The new general manager Fabio Paratici, moreover, knows the player well and can smell the deal given the incandescent situation. Spurs are also very close to Bologna's Tomiyasu.

I dunno if it's been mentioned, but has anyone else been baffled that we weren't in for Dumfries at 12m euros!? Can't believe no other club moved for him and he went to Inter for such a low fee.

I think we'll get Tomiyasu done and he'll be a good signing but man, I really liked Dumfries. Maybe he's took attacking for what we want.

Dumfries is a very attacking wingback, he suits a 3 at the back system that inzaghi and inter will play. In a back four I am not sure he would do that well. Just my opinions of what I have seen of him.

People like to say this (for example see Sabitzer rumours) whenever a player moves for a ‘lower’ fee between clubs in Europe but we all know if any Prem club got involved they’d immediately ask for £10-20m more

I really don’t think that’s funny. Sanchez didn’t do well there but do you think it such a good idea to embarrass one of our players by bringing this up again? Do you think this is going to increase Sanchez’ value to any suitors for his services?

Sick of all this negativity being directed at so many of our players by posters in this forum. If you’re fed up with most of our players why not support another team? Man City might be a good place for some. But then again I imagine the knives will be out at the slightest faltering.
I'm not big on cussing the players especially when they aren't egotistical and care about the club. On the other hand I support spurs first and the players second. Players come and go the club remains.
