Team for Blackburn!

As pointed out by George in yet another *sigh* 'What would you rather' thread regarding our and Arsenals respective seasons, we have yet to have on of these. Here goes:

Gomes
Corluka Dawson Bassong Ekotto
Kranjcar Palacios Modric Bale
Defoe Pavlyuchenko​

This is on the basis that none of Bentley, Lennon, Huddlestone and Jenas are ready yet. If Bentley gets fit, then him on the right with Kranjcar on the left and Bale back to left back, but I've heard nothing so I'm assuming that we're going to have to continue with a slightly jumbled team.​

What he said. Never change a drawing team? Would stick with this even if Jenas is back to be honest, but would give Bentley a chance if he's ready. Wilson and Luka in the middle while not hugely convincing shouldn't be a problem against Blackburn...

I just feel against Blackeye at home, we should be able to blood Livermore in, with the likes of Palacios, Modric and Kranky holding his hand. That way we keep the craft of Modric coming in from the left and Bale returns to that cracking overlapping role.

Good on ya, long way to travel and a lunchtime kick off too so lets hope it's not a wasted journey!

I also think your above side would be a good idea, but I doubt Harry will want to risk young blood right now.

I agree with Mr G Kendalls preffered line up, but I think that we will stick to what we had against Fulham, which is a shame, as Modric was not as influential in the middle and neither was Bale

Modric is best at LM, and Bale is best at LB. So I say it needs to be this:

Plus Towsend is an out and out, skin the right back left winger, which may negate Bale somewhat.

I think Bale has been benefitting from Modric's craft. He is a pretty dumb runner, in that he only really runs in a straight line, he's not all that clever, so I think he needs the space clever players like Moddy and Kranky create.

Thankfully we're heading down to the LDN early on Friday as it's one of my mate who lives there's birthday, so it shouldn't be painful at all!
