can everyone just realise that wilson likes to sit on the left of the cm, plenty people lining him up on the right, and although , obviously , he gets all over the pitch

he looks most comfortable on the left

Let me get this straight.

You've had Bale and BAE at CM. Jenas at right back, Kaboul at right wing and yet you're lecturing people on where Wilson should be 'written' in a CM two?

You're amazing. I wanna be in you.

Yeah, but you know what JamesCole's like...he's 'different' (to paraphrase the Old Red Faced Rogue Face with his Blotchy Robber Hands'):eek:mg:

and don't be surprised to see wilson filling in on the right wing next season when we have some signed some more soldiers in the middle!

Come to think of it I'm surprised nobody has thought of putting Crouch in goal, Pavs as a centreback Modric upfront as a target man and Gomes playing link up off him.

james has probably suggested at least 3 of those 'options'.

It's about time we gave Sandra Redknapp a run out. 'Arry obviously rates her and it's these games where we need to blood in the inexperienced potentials.

I know you is 'avin' a larf, but did you know that The OCtopus originally played as a striker, and only became a goalie when he was 19 (or summit):)

I never knew that. I wonder if he got injured atall playing upfront.

it was because the team he played with were short on keeper so he decided to give it a shot one day. And the rest is history

dont think it was 11 aside, either 5 or 7 aside but could be wrong on that part

Gomes

Corkula Dawson Bassong Bale

Krancjar Palacios Kaboul Modric

Defoe Pavyluchenko

Subs: Alnwick, Walker, Dervette, Assou-Ekotto, Rose, Gudjohnsen, Crouch

Only 2 players out of position and a more balanced bench then other posters choices. I think we are all under estimating Kaboul. He would be my pick to play alongside Wilson in a deeper role with Palacios pressuring high up the pitch

I would go along with your choice Bubble!
It makes sense to replace Hudd with Kaboul as we need his height and strength to maintain our defensive record at set plays, particularly if Crouch doesn't start.
I expect Kaboul will turn out to be an exceptional buy once he understands his various roles - he seems to have the physical attributes and a bit of attitude...and like Hudd he is young enough to learn.

I'm surprised no ones giving Gudjohnsen a shout.. He's played in the middle before, and against opposition who are likely to sit back and try and absorb the pressure we will need someone in the middle of the park like Guddy who can provide the killer passes / through balls to our front two. He's got the experience and skill, and provided he's match fit I think he should be given a start. We can finally play a diamond with the players we have (Modric, Krajcar, Gudjohnsen) with Palacios being told to hold instead of playing box-to-box.

-----------Gomes--------------
Corluka--Dawson--Bassong----BAE
Townsend--Palacios--Modric--Bale
------Pavyluchenko--Defoe-------

Corluka is much happier at right back when he's got a proper winger in front of him, especially one with pace. This much is clear to me. He looks very uneasy when he has to provide the width in the final third himself.

We will need to attack Blackburn with pace from the flanks. It's what we did last season against them at the Lane, and we destroyed them in the first 20 mins I seem to remember.

Bale and Townsend would give us that. Against Fulham we were one dimensional and created sod all. The only bright spark was Bale... AGAIN! We need to inject some more pace into the team.

Plus it's been a while since we gave an exciting young prospect from the academy the chance to start a game at the Lane. Throw him in i'd say, he seems a confident lad.

COYS!!

I'l be leaving my home in Ireland at 5.30 in the morn to catch my flight over for it cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOMES
CORLUKA DAWSON KABOUL EKOTTO
KRANJCAR WILSON MODRIC BALE
DEFOE CROUCH

I personally think he will put Crouch in there after he scoring twice against Blackburn last time out i would rather see PAV tho!!!!! Roll on another 3pts to put us closer to finishing 4th!!! I really hope the atmosphere will be electric as we need it to be coming to the end of the season!! Not saying by any means the atmosphere doesnt be good
