If Tony Pulis was our manager, which team would he pick? I ask because I think we're going to need to beat them up a bit on Sunday if we want things to go our way, it would at least help.

Friedel (hes taller than Hugo)
Kaboul Daws Vlad Verts
Dembele Sandro Capoue Townsend
Chadli
Ade

He likes one winger old Tony! Rest of the team are 6'2+

I'm not expecting Tim to but I would go with this.

4-3-3

LLORIS

WALKER
CHIRICHES
VERTONGHEN
ROSE

CAPOUE(Sandro will be lacking match fitness)
PAULINHO
ERIKSEN

TOWNSEND(Hopefully he is fit enough to start because I can't bare seeing Lennon do fuck all again)
ADEBAYOR
CHADLI

So apart from Sandro, Townsend, Lamela we have a fully fit squad to pick from

Lloris
Walker Kaboul Vertonghen Rose
Paulinho Dembele
Lennon Eriksen Chadli
Adebayor

Subs: Friedel Chiriches Capoue Benteleb Sigurdsson Soldado Defoe (Dawson)

Give Lennon one more chance before Townsend and Lamela return

I like that. Don,t see TS sticking it out though. The last game showed some of his inexperience, we didn't change when we were under pressure. And how Lennon keeps getting a game I'll never know. We've got him till end of season so I suppose we have to "lap it up".

He doesn't fancy him (Lamela). That's the only conclusion I can think of. Coupled with Soldado that's 56m euros well spent!

When there is very little info on a player and their injury its usually a sign that there's more to it than meets the eye.

I suspect Lamela has been taken out of the firing the line and has been given time to settle here without the pressure of performing in games in the here and now.

Lennon keeps getting a game because Lamela and Townsend are injured. Don't know what is so hard to grasp about this?

Agreed, think Tim is being patient with him, he said as much when he took over the reigns and he'll unleash him when he's ready. I have a suspicion we wont see him until the Dnipro match and hopefully he can crack on from there.

The ability of grasping Injuries are not my point. There are others who can do a better job. The two Kyle's RB & RM respectively worked well when I saw it. Siggy, Lamela ect. To keep playing a man out of form and expect anything different is madness.

Agree with this. Personally I think its our strongest and most balanced side. Don't think Sandro will play though, and if that's the case bring Capoue in.

Yeah agree with that, wasnt sure about Sandro but would definitely have Capoue in there to help deal with Barkley and Barry if he doesn't make it. I think Bentaleb will start again however.

So you're saying an injured Lamela, an out of position Sig and our right back also playing out of position can do a better job? If Lennon continues to play poorly when Townsend and Lamela are fit and ready then questions should be asked but all I see at the moment is a myopic dislike for Lennon and Dawson on this forum.

I don't have a dislike for any Spurs player other than Sol the bastard. But when they're not playing well other avenue's are to be explored. Playing people out of position has been a common occurrence all season, When has Lamela or Sig played anywhere but their natural positions all season. Naughton left back, Vertonghen LB, Capuoe CB, some of these enforced some not. Daws is a good player but he needs a leader next to him otherwise his tendencies to charge and miss overtake him. Lennon can be a spectacle in his own right but when he's bad, he can be a liability. If Lamela is being dropped for lack of form so should Lennon.
