Lloris
Walker Dier Vert Rose
Dembele Bentaleb
Townsend Eriksen Mason
Kane
Last time we played Chelsea, we seemed to be most threatening when Eriksen was pulling their CM's around, Kane was running the channels and Chadli making runs inside. With Chadli off form, I'd like to see Mason get a Chance there. I know it's a bit left field but think his off the ball running, energy, work rate and aggression, could help us both in attack and in defence.

Lloris

Walker Dier Vertonghen Rose

Stambouli Bentaleb

Chadli Mason Eriksen

Kane
Thought Stambouli and Bentaleb worked well last night and Mason would be more effective further forwards.

I'd question whether Soldado and Lamela should even be on the bench.

Pretty certain he'll go Lloris, Walker, Dier, Vertonghen, Rose--------Mason, Bentaleb-------Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli-----Kane
Only likely change would be no Chadli, Eriksen to the left and Dembele in the middle but behind them won't change.
Either way we'll win.

From F365:

Mauricio Pochettino
Mauricio Pochettino has made great strides as Tottenham manager, but will be acutely aware his season now sits on the brink between success and failure in the eyes of many, no matter how harsh that may feel.
"The problem is the decision you take is always about the result you get," Pochettino said before Thursday's Europa League defeat to Fiorentina. "If tomorrow you make the rotation and after on Sunday you win, you are a genius. Sunday you may rest some players and play others and win the final - genius. If you lose tomorrow and the final, you are a bad manager and coach."

He's right of course: The lines really are that thin. Pochettino chose to start Roberto Soldado in Florence and the Spaniard repaid that faith with an abysmal one-on-one effort and another scoreless match. Spurs exited the Europa League with a whimper in Italy. Pressure raised.

Three weeks ago Spurs were buoyant, level on points with the top four after beating Arsenal in the north London derby. Just four games later they are seventh in the Premier League, out of Europe and with their eggs increasingly placed in the COC basket. They will start as underdogs, but must strain on the leash to repeat their stunning league victory over Jose Mourinho's side on New Year's Day.

Spurs' last major honour came in this competition against Chelsea. They have won just three trophies in 33 years and two in 24 years - these chances don't come around very often. Pochettino will know that his task is far from complete whatever the result on Sunday, but it would certainly generate a great deal of goodwill.

The one thing I disagree with what people are saying is this "one on one" situation with Soldado.

If it was one-on-one, I think he would have shot and probably scored.

The issue with the Soldado chance is that it was two-on-one. I think it completely threw him and he chose not to risk missing the chance by laying it off for the 2nd man. Neither of them were in the right positions for that to work.

Not excusing the missed chance, but in another reality where he was one-on-one, it was going in. As much as I believe Adebayor can do a job, I don't think he would have scored either.

I remember that Dembele chance last year, think it was against Southampton, were it was Dembele through with Ade in tow and Dembele shot and dragged it wide. Kane would be a must-start against Chelsea, but I'm really doubtful of what Ade would bring to the team with his lack of match fitness ahead of a final.

I really hope that the disappointment of last night will really propel the team to put their bodies on the line in order to win a trophy. Chelsea are in for the CL and PL, so they're less likely to be going for it with the same amount of 'shit or bust' mentality. I hope.

Dier over Fazio, Rose over Davies. Lloris has to start too, sorry Michel.

Not in here it wouldn't. Any goodwill is basically 90 minutes credit on the next result :D

I'd actually forgotten about Dembele. He was pretty inspirational against Chelsea in the 5-3, and maybe I'd have him instead of Mason.

I just don't want to see Mason and Bentaleb as our midfield 2 as I'm not convinced it's strong enough against the better midfields. That's why I'd like to see Bentaleb + Stambouli + Mason/Dembele.

Lloris
Walker Dier Vertonghen Rose
Mason Bentaleb
Yedlin Dembele Eriksen
Kane

Vorm, Fazio, Stambouli, Onomah, Lamela, Townsend, Chadli

Why am I playing Yedlin? Pacey, ability to stretch the defense AND actually looks lay in a cross as a final ball. Imagine that! A fucking player who looks to lay in a cross and can do it well! Oh and not to mention, he can track back and defend to. We brought him over early for a reason. About time he plays. Lord knows he can't be any worse than the shower of shit who do play. Might as well play him. Why do it against Chelsea? Well other than Lamela and Townsend offering nothing lately, Chelsea wont be expecting it. Blind side them.

Townsend, Lamela, Eriksen, and Chadli all deserve to be dropped. Sadly, we cant drop all of them. So Eriksen plays for corner and free kick duties.

I actually don't think the inclusion of Yeslin on the right would be a bad thing. He's as rapid they come and would scare The Chelsea back for to death with that raw pace. That sort of shock factor in a game of this magnitude could well be a master stroke. Can do no worse than our other options, especially on that big Wembley pitch.

Probably the 1st and last time I ever agree with @yankspurs :)

I know we will play 4-2-3-1 but do people really think that's the best formation for us in this game? I'm really not so sure as I'm worried the 2 CMs will get overwhelmed.

Chelsea are likely to play same formation I think? Matic is suspended and Mikel who would have come in for him is out injured so I would imagine it will be Ramires and Fabregas in the middle? I think we can win the centre mid battle again tbh. We completely nullified Matic at the Lane in January which is no mean feat.

People keep banging on about how many trophies we have won, but they ignore the fact that only two clubs have won at least one trophy in each of the last 7 complete decades - us and United.
