Is Jagielka fit then for them? Or is that a no too? They could be missing Coleman, Williams, Jagielka, and then the 2 young players, Galloway, whose about to fall down a level on loan despite getting a lot of time last year, and Pennington, whose injured. Do they have enough players to field a back 4?

And whose their keeper? Stekelenburg?!?

And this is who people want to go remarkably negative against with Dier and Wanyama partnering in the CM? I'd understand if this was a fully fit United we were facing but this like a half fit Everton with a poor keeper and missing alot of players on their back line! Hell, I'm tempted to move Alli next to Dier instead of starting Winks there and starting Edwards, Onomah or N'Jie in the AM at this rate! And this whole thing about it allowing the attackers to go gung ho, how exactly do you expect the attackers to get the ball in good positions when they'd have to keep coming back for the ball? Do you plan on going long ball all the time to get the ball to them?
Don't get too cocky.

We are playing a decent team away from home. I have little doubt Dier and Waynyama will play together, especially with no Dembele.

Our front 4 will be Lamela, Alli, Erikson and Kane

According to Everton forum... Lukaku & Coleman unfit. Williams realistically wont make it, as he had his first fitness session yesterday. Didnot kick a ball for Swansea in preseason.Their other young CB Pennington is also doubtful

Jagielka is also doubtful. But they are guessing it will be Funes Mori & Jagielka.

Koeman : “The squad will be 100 per cent in two or three weeks. But if I compare the physical state of the players in numbers here it is 70 per cent and at Southampton it was 100 per cent."

If true , thats should be the best news Poch heard this weekend.

I think he's telling porkies.....unless its a ploy to get his chairman to part with some more of that supposed £100 million he was going to give Koeman to spend.

I dont think so. Looks like their incoming players like Williams did not have a proper preseason because of transfer speculation. Also the players on outgoing list are also not training, likes of Lukaku. Given their owners did not open the purse till Stones went out, they are on back foot.

Surely Lukaku will play.

Without being cocky, I really think we'll beat them handsomely.

Yeah if Lukaku/Coleman can't play we should play a very offensive team.
Throw one of the youngsters in CM, let Wanyama hold the ball alone and see get us 3-0 up by half time.

I think it's going to be this:

Lloris

Walker Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose

Dier Wanyama

Lamela Alli Eriksen

Kane

With the good news that Vert is fit to go on Saturday, it will be interesting to see who Poch picks in DM. I don't buy into the theory that he'll play both Wanyama and Dier (although I wouldn't be surprised to see them both in the CL games). So will he chose the tried and tested Dier or Wanyama who's had the full summer to prepare.

Reckon it'll be
Lloris, Walker, Toby, Vert, Rose, Wanyama, Mason, Lamela, Alli, Eriksen, Kane.

Dier dropped?......really?

Wanyama for Dembele and otherwise our strongest 11, barring any late doubts regarding Vertonghen.

I don't think pairing Wanyama and Dier is as negative as some people are making out. We should have plenty of creativity in front with Lamela, Eriksen, Alli and Kane and besides, Dier's capabilities are hardly limited to defending and breaking down opposition attacks.
