After beating a top side like Dortmund confidence high....
So why change it....same team as weds. Dele has to sit out Son deserves to play.

It's important to rotate players especially when you have ones who can come in and do well. Look at Sir Alex, he never played the same exact team in back to back games.

I like the idea of Son, Dele, Eriksen and Kane all starting as I think Swansea will play defensively and try to get a point. This is also a game we need to win to reinforce the confidence gain from Wednesday's win. That said we do need to rotate some from Wednesday and should try to keep as many match fit as possible. I'd like to see Winks and Trippier start.

Just looking at some of the different teams being suggested make you realise the strength in depth we now have, and that's with Rose and Lamela still out!

Selection for this game would be crucial in understanding who Poch views as no1 RB going forward. If he selects Aurier again, then feel its over for Trippier as starting RB.

I would pick Aurier over Trippier tomorrow. And probably rest both Davies & Aurier for Barnsley game and play Trippier & KWP in RB & LB.

My XI for Swansea game -

----------------Lloris----------------
-------Toby--Sanchez--Jan-----
Aurier-----------------------Davies
----------------Dier-----------------
-----Eriksen-----------Son--------
----------------Dele-----------------
----------------Kane----------------

Formation : Back 3 with a diamond formation with Dier at base & Dele at tip of diamond behind Kane. We played same formation against Everton ,which Koeman said got his team confused. Only change is personal change with Aurier for Trippier & Son for Sissoko.

I love Tripps, but Aurier HAS to play. The quicker he gets properly integrated and used to the team, the better he'll be.

Because Trippier can take better advantage of the spaces that Swansea will hand us as he has an excellent delivery, nothing to do with sentiment more to do with tactics.
Which has been lacking this season and I don't think even you know whether or not Aurier can or cannot deliver (despite that Hail Mary against Dortmund). I think its crucial that we give him consecutive games to help him settle

I've heard a rumor that Mike Dean is the ref tomorrow? Is this true?!?:playful::woot:
Rumour is correct Sir. (That means that it is no longer rumour but a fact!!)

If we play 3 at the back then theres we only need to play Dier in front of them. This will then free up 1 position for Dele to come in.

..........................Lloris...........................
...........Toby.....Sanchez...Verts............
Aurier.................Dier..................Davies
.........Eriksen......Alli.........Son..............
...........................Kane..........................

If we play 4 at the back, then Sanchez gives way to Dembele or Winksy in a 4231.

Yep. This should definitely be the personnel included, but I think the shape will be slightly different. We seem to have done well with the 3/diamond in midfield in recent games and I think that should be maintained with Eriksen and Dele slightly ahead of Dier and Son at the tip. That could morph into Eriksen/Dele alongside Dier or Son alongside Kane depending on what phase of play we're in.

What about poor KWP, he's gotta get some mins man
It was the same situation last season with walker and trips as one and two. Obviously Poch doesn't think trips is ready for number one, so maybe KWP has a chance to battle with trips for number two. I would imagine KWP will get a chance midweek with trips on the bench and Aurier rested after playing today. I am sure if he is fit enough Poch will want to see him against PL opposition. I can see Poch playing two RB in a game bringing one at 70 mins or so. Bottom line is I think KWP will get more time on the pitch this season than he did last, so he should be pleased with that!

I think we'll see an increase in rotation this season. Last year we had a pretty definite first eleven with only the FBs being rotated. But today I expect at least three changes to the team from mid week. Probably Trippier, Winks or Sissoko and Dele coming into the team, and possibly a start for Llorente

Be nice fir Llorente to start against his old club. Bring kane on last 20 against tired legs... that almost seems unfair actually ;-)

Kane ran himself into the ground against Dortmund be good to give him a rest until west ham . He played 2 England games as well in the international break.

We have so many options now it's hard to guess the lineup or even formation, which must make it hard for the oppo manager!!

Kane will get a week off after this game so he starts.

Llorente hasn't had no preseason with only 5 mins on Wednesday to date of playing time.

10/15 mins today if needed then start V Barnsley
