I disagree that’s the truth.

Time will tell - we will be fine
Admire your optimism, but we all know that we are balancing on the edge. We may win a trophy, succeed and go on to new strengths, or the entire squad can come crumbling down. There are quite a few important players who may or may not be extremely interested in threading the waters at the present status.

People need to chill out. Barkley , if joins would be great. If not, its ok.
Club went in hard for Sanchez & got him for 42m out of nowhere. I am sure, we have our targets. Malcolm bid reported seems real - so its certain we are looking at players.

Is everything really at risk of falling apart and losing all our players if we fail to get Ross Barkley? Squad player at best surely?

So the message so far is that Liverpool and Chelsea are trying to give themselves the extra they need to make sure they qualify for the CL next year and we are doing squat...is that accurate? I hope not!!!

Our squad doesnt need reinforcements apparently. We also cant compete with City/United/Liverpool/Arsenal for players...we just dont have the financial resources... Based on the Liverpool thread.. Our competitors is likely Everton/Leicester/Southampton. What nonsense.

To get the thread back on topic Richalidson could either be the next Mahrez or the next Michu/Ighalo etc I'm not sure he would be worth the price Watford would want... he does miss a lot of chances

Hard to judge richarlson now as he's played football for 12 months non stop. Going to be pretty knackered.

Ffs it is not the deadline of the transfer window (and we are not used to sign anyone in january) or the final day of the league that we bottled the league or the cl place. I can't really understand the negativity in this post today

I think people are meaning that we have had bad news regarding Rose, now we have some about Toby and what seems like another primary target is now not happening. But sure people just focus on 1 out of the 3 so it fits your bias posts better lol.

We really need to get 1 out of Zaha, Malcolm, Neres and Bailey imo.

I think that if we don't buy the player that I want us to in January poch will threaten to commit suicide and every player on the books including academy players will go, it's what we always do we're just a shitty selling club:mad:

Don't argue with me it's the truth message:shifty:

Certain I remember hearing that Pochettino actually wasn't THAT keen on Barkley. I've forgotten the context or the exact wording, might have been taken out of the proper context or a PR driven piece from the Levy side of things.

Palace would be mad to sell Zaha.. whatever they get for him could cost them £150m in the long run?

If we don't sign Barkley, it's a blessing in disguise if Pochettino was planning to use him as a central midfielder. I prefer him further forward and there are more capable Dembele replacements out there.

Was he planning to do that then?

Dare I suggest that one of the most sensible, if not spectacular, things we could do in January is look to purchase one, if not two, English goalkeepers. It is plain crazy that we use up 2 of our non-HG slots on Vorm and Gazzaniga. This in turn has a very significant impact on our purchases in other positions as we are forced to look for HG players and pay over the odds as a result for players like Zaha. I think the HG factor also explains the obsession with Barkley. How about creating more room in the squad for non HGs by not using them for the one position where our back ups barely play.
