Great innings from Bell, he really needed this and looks like it may be another impressive performance from Prior after he helped steady the ship in Melbourne.

England well on top.

Fantastic performance from England today that has put us in a terrific position to finish Australia off and win the Ashes 3-1!

That's a serious effort from Cook, I'm hoping that Matty Prior can get a ton tonight, it would be awesome if 6 out of the top 7 finished the series having all scored 100s.

Even though the Aussies are embarrassingly poor by their standards, this England team is seriously good as well.

Watching the Spurs, an hour or so resting and then the cricket all night. My cup runneth over.

Thanks for your contribution Colly, even in a series when you haven't been at your greatest you have still contributed (skittling out Hussey).

Bat to maybe 600, 650+ and have four sessions to bowl the Aussies out. Should guarantee a draw and a series win, which is all we need, a 3-1 is the cherry on the icing on the cake.

Tremlett bounces Haddin, then BOOM, smashes Johnson's stumps next ball, then almost lb on Siddle. Awesome stuff.

Superb stuff, tonight has to be the night!

I see that Collingwood is retiring which is a wise decision as he is now struggling in Test cricket although he has certainly had some great moments, but I'm pleased he's still going to captain the One Day internationals and play in the Twenty20s.

He's a talented athlete and a great servant to English cricket, all credit to him to know his limitations.

Won't this be the thrid match we have won by and innings?

Also With Colly going who does everyone think will take over from him long term? I know Morgan is next in-line for a shot at it, but do we all believe he will make the role his own or do some feel that a player like Bopara may end up fiding a position down at 6 for us

It will be the 1st time that we've won the Ashes by handing them an innings defeat 3 times!

For Colly's spot i think it will be between Bopara and Morgan though Tredwell could also be in with a shout. If they want the number 6 to be able to bowl a few overs then it should go to Bopara but Trott and Pieterson could quite easily send a few more down if necessary! If Adil Rashid keeps on developing it could be worth blooding him in the test arena?
