there is red top speculation Harry is going to be offered £120k pw extention, so perhaps the money that wasn't over spent on transfers from the TV/CL money is going on the extentions, plus next season our crowd expands though so does paying for Wembley and then the new stadium, so the wage structure might now be being relaxed to try and keep this group together and ready to step out when the new WHL is finished

Levy must be very sure that wages will continue to spiral and that any deal done now is a good one. Probably makes sense given that premiership income streams are global and the pound will continue to plummet.

And, as has already been said, it must be cheaper to give a wage rise rather than pay out mega bucks to sign a replacement, especially with the increase of transfer payments with the new TV deal.
