When is Wilson due in Paris? Could do with him and Taraabt going there as along with the 5.1m O'Hara money we could be adding £20m more to our kitty.

Forlan seems a lot more realistic than the likes of Rossi. He would come in for the short term with Leandro taking over in the long term. Pavlyuchenko and keane would make way. It also fits with the fact we can only sign one first choice forward because of our 451 formation.

New signing imminent

An early Saturday morning Modric-style announcement?

Any of Rossi, Abebayor or Llorente would have the same effect as Modric's signing did :hump:

Even just Leandro would brighten things up a quite bit.

For those who might be interested. It ended up being the harvester

My life is tragic...it's Friday night and on at least 3 occasions I have thought to myself 'I wonder if ryantegan's home yet and had his chinese...'. That's on one of the few occasions I'm not begging desperately for a top class signing. Was Harvester good?

Forlan who is currently on 3 times the wages of Rossi?

Forlan who is 32 and just had a very poor season, over Rossi who is 24 and just blossoming into his prime.

If Levy has any say in it, there's no way we'll go for Forlan.

I don't think wages would be an issue trying to sign the likes of Rossi, Llorente or Falcao. It's whether they would want to join us when there are also other big clubs interested. I was hoping our displays in the Champions League would make a few players want to sign for us, but maybe not.

Without wanting to stir shit, don't make outrageous comments that you can't back up with cold hard facts found in places other than t'internet.

I believe that Hoowl was making reference to the likelihood of Forlan being more likely to agree to join us, rather than Rossi who is likely to be hanging on for a bigger fish. I believe there was some healthy discussion about this sort of behaviour earlier, around the fingers in pies ITK.

Rossi's reported to be on £37k and Forlan over £100k (£5-6m pa is the usually quoted figure).

So it's giuesswork then? Thought so. Modric is reported to be on £40k you know. That's horseshit according to most ITKs.

Ah, shit. I've ended up being a DA basher. And I promised myself I wouldn't...
