Have we had ITK on Tacsi?
Yes, Archibald said we've made a bid but are also screwing around with other targets.
Have we had ITK on Tacsi?
Have we had ITK on Tacsi?
Kaboul has all the attributes to succeed and I sincerely hope he is cemented as a starter in some guise this season, either as RB or preferably CB.
In terms of Tacsi and his reputation, I thought Hummels was ahead of him as the future of the German national side and whilst I will bow to more informed opinions of him, I remain to be convinced this is a wise move at this moment in time.
I certainly don't think we should all slit our wrists if we don't buy anybody but with the fixtures we have it will mean that we will be under a lot of pressure early on and if we don't start well we could be in for a long season. We should remember though that this team was good enough to get fourth last year, we threw it away to an inferior team imo, and the teams around us have not yet strengthened.
Pool have bought players that would not get into our team with the exception of suarez and Carroll, so have man u, the scum are falling apart and city have bought another striker.
I really want a striker and some cover for Sandro until he returns but it seems like it just isn't going to happen. Personally, I think if we had another manager or a DoF we would have players by now.
It might not seem particularly problematic to you right now, but the very fact that we are reportedly checking out CBs suggests there is a need to strengthen, otherwise we wouldn't be looking, would we?
Ledley continues to defy medical science, but surely he can't defy it much longer.
After a shaky start, Gallas confounded those who thought Harry had lost his marbles, but has he got much more than a season in him?
Bassong appeared to be going backwards.
Corluka isn't as bad as some make out, but he's not that good either and you really wouldn't want him there except in a dire emergency. Ditto Huddlestone.
So that leaves Dawson and Kaboul, the latter of whom we may want at RB (or conceivably, even to cover at DM). Tasci could be a pretty shrewd buy, as a year on his price could have shot up. And it would please a substantial chunk of the population of Tottenham.

Good post, have a little flutter on him to be top scorer in the PL this season.Suarez has looked excellent and I would expect him to look even better this season after settling and a pre-season.
Suarez could of been our Tevez no problem, I honestly believe that.
Think Tacsi and Hummels are Germany's Smalling and Jones (though probably better).
Kaboul has all the physical attributes to succeed but sadly none of the mental ones. He'll never move out of Dawson's shadow as our 'brawn' CB IMO.
I certainly hope that if an offer firms up for Tacsi then it's not a hurdle in Kaboul's development and unless we see some movement regarding Bassong then I don't see the logic in adding to an already burgeoning squad at a position that isn't particularly problematic at this current junction.
Kaboul is a far more cultured a defender than you give him credit for, one who regularly last season managed to bring the ball out of defence and look to start our attacks with more incisive passes on the deck than just merely lumping forward to Crouch.
A fantastic athlete who combines fantastic aerial ability, awareness of players around him and great close control - he is the prototype for any successful centre back and whilst I don't doubt he can be a tad naive at times, this will surely come with experience and being in a settled back line in his natural position.
Doesn't Levy do the buying? Do you ever think before you type?
We might, but would they be any good?
You want cover for Sandro until he returns, by which you presumably mean a player of equal quality. So what, tell me, happens to this temporary replacement when Sandro does return? Wouldn't it actually make as much sense to pay Palacios?
Every striker that gets mentioned someone pops up to say, 'He's not what we need' or 'No, he's shit.'
And, most importantly, we know fuck all about what's actually happening.

I heard that Tasci has been a flop this season?
