If we improve our overall squad it will be a good window ....if we make big improvements to our overall squad it will be a brilliant window, whoever leaves.

When are people going to get that this management team is about team and not individual?
So it doesn't matter if anyone leaves by that logic

Huh? Only Walker has ostracised himself... we're not having a fire sale of money grabbing players.

ITKs have previously said he's burned all his bridges and to do that he must have seriously peed off Poch, the squad and everyone else that matters at the club. Fortunately there's several decent right backs out there who could replace him... Pereira being the likely choice and for circa 1/3 of what Walker will go for.

I'm not talking about a mass exodus. Read what was quoted to what I replied.

I stand by it can't be called a brilliant window if we sold walker. Think some are trying to convince themselves otherwise though.

It can easily be a brilliant window... sell Walker for £50-60m and replace him with an exciting younger right back and hopefully Lemar. We'd have strengthened the squad for no or minimum net spend.

Everyone leaves eventually. All we are talking about here is when. Everyone has to be replaced and as our league position shows generally we have done a very good job at replacing those that have left.

Disagree not sure how that would be brilliant tbh losing the best RB in the league for a young inexperienced RB.

I'm resigned to losing Walker though :( anyway I'm stopping here before the ban stick hits

We'll soon find out won't we

We hardly crumbled in the matches he didn't play last season, did we?

Too many people are overstating his influence. He's a good right back but in no way irreplaceable. I could understand the whining if Alli, Kane or Eriksen were being sold, but Walker? Nah.

Agree the bale money was poorly invested. However, Bale papered over the cracks of how bad that squad was. If we have 40-60m to replace a right back and strengthen it should be a different matter.

My comment was in relation to Lukaku not Walker. I'm not worried by the team, I'm worried about the ground.

Blue and yellow lol.

In other news I'm surprised we haven't had any links from anywhere to Bruma yet as we were being linked to him constantly during latter stages of seaso .

I wonder if we're missing a trick on Sandro from Malaga. Everton reportedly sniffing around him now Atletico are ruled out. Previous interest in him from us. Looks a little like young Alexis Sanchez in terms of style/position etc.
There have been S ome media sources that we're still looking at him, albeit not great sources. If he does have the rumoured £6m (or whatever it was) buyout clause, it may be he fits very well with the ITK suggesting we were looking at players who offered value.
If the scouting is on the money, I'd be happy enough for us to upgrade but maintain a net profit to be reallocated to wage rises for Toby etc. I'm not too fussed about big name signings, let's just make intelligent signings that fit the squad ethos.

I was thinking the same, but he's said that he joined Malaga to get game time. I'm not sure if he'd be happy to come as a squad player, rather than a first team starter.
