Trix on COYS responding to someone complaining about our transfer approach under ENIC in recent time. Corroborates jj's news above:

Disagree. Complete change of approach this window. Multiple targets identified pre window, and we have been making moves to bring them in early. Take a look around, very little business is being done anywhere atm and for good reason, as players are all either on holiday or International duty. Too much is being made of this we must sell to bring in imo. Yes we need to move players on in order to bring in the 4-5 we would really like, but that is due to wages not transfer fee's. It is not a case of we must move one out before one comes in. Far more to be positive about this window, than at any other time since Enic have been in charge imo.

Wow, after reading some of the last few pages in here, it's obvious some people need to take more interest in our youth teams.

And not only that, but if there's a player thread, use it, if there isn't create one. This isn't the place.

Those earlier videos made him look like Junior from the Cleveland show with that fro!

I think we've got loads of potential in our squad now - Bentaleb, Alli, Pritchard, Edwards, Winks - then there's also Townsend, Mason, Lamela, Eriksen.. all under 24 or so!

And now might be a good time to mention this.

If you haven't read the rules to this section of the site, then I urge you to do so now. These rules differ slightly to the rest of the site and I work on the assumption that your participation in this thread signifies your agreement to abide by these rules. Saying "I didn't know" will just make me laugh like a braying and very well hung donkey.

We have a number of options open to us when dealing with what we like to call "flanges"…..ranging from a simple warning (I don't like using this one), a total exclusion from all ITK Forums (I love using this one) to being able to view, but unable to post in this thread and of course out all time favourite, a complete ban from the site (this is seldom used and only then to complete reets).

http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/index.php?threads/the-rules.104284/

So off you go, do yourselves a favour and take a few minutes just to familiarise yourselves with how we roll in here.

I know he's barely 16, but hopefully Edwards has a growth spurt in him, because he's 5'5" right now and plays low to the ground, which leaves him awfully uncompetitive in a contest for the ball even against the average wide player or full back.

Looks wonderful with the football however.

Messi maradona hazard augero etc sometimes short players in a AM role are better, quick change if direction. I'm not worried, he's gonna be brilliant

Good to see Trix singing from the same hymn sheet as JJ about this window being more organised...Sounds like if things go to plan we could make some cracking signings.

Short is a good thing for a player of his ilk. The low centre of gravity makes it much harder for defenders to track his runs and dribbles, as he can change directing so quickly. Just think back to agueros first game against us

trix on suggestions the trippier deal is dragging out because levy is trying to save a few quid: Nothing to worry about with this one, the financials are all sorted.

It's a release clause, how do people think he's trying to penny pinch?

True, I was being captain obvious there.

Just seems we are forever reliant on outgoings before incomings; which can prove problematic given the seeming lack of interest currently in our 'deadwood'

We need to find someone who wants to build a big bonfire!

Not sure if it's already been discussed, but JJ said on Twitter that the Werner interest could be true even though he hadn't heard anything. At least he didn't shoot it down. :)
