I quite like this route of signing young talents, There won't be any pressure on them like say a £30 million signing will get immediately, Nobody will expect them anywhere near the first team for a few years so if any do make it earlier and end up as phenomenal talents then its all good, not to mention the value of these players in the future.

Low risk signings, lower wages, smaller transfer fees, can't really moan about it.

I hope BEN was right about the kid from Africa (can't spell his name!) he's meant to be a top talent.

Levy was after Aguero in January wasn't he? I can see us making another bid.

Wages will be the issue though. Wages, and the fact that our best player has publically announced that he wants to leave the club.

some bits of info earlier today :

Madrid Spur

Topic: Dos Santos
Posted: Today at 8:07am Seville want him.

We'll sell

They only want loan.....so no deal.

JPF on FTL...

Topic: Modric at T5 yesterday...
Posted: Today at 9:00am Looking happy and relaxed and when asked by my mate, said he was looking forward to the new season at Spurs.
Still think he will go but just passing it on.

All posted by bizz earlier today:)

I guess someone's sarcasm radar was on the blink then.

Coulibaly

And yeah, he's looked good from what little I've seen, more Eto'o than Drogba though.

Thanks

I think Levy is more or less trying to replicate what we did under Commoli by trying to get really top notch young players in and some of them will make it. This time we also have the added incentive that they will qualify as home-grown, and that we have the status to attract more of the really talented ones. Get 4 or 5 of these in, as well as a new striker and losing the squad players and it will be a really good summer for me.

Reports in belgian newspapers today that Chelsea agreed a fee with RC Genk regarding Thibaut Courtois, the young goalkeeper we've supposed to have bid for earlier this window. Would be a pity if true, very very talented keeper.

I did read in the Mirror on Saturday that we were signing this kid, Actually it was my dad that showed it to me, at first I said you mean Cellabos right? No he said it doesn't sound like that.

Shaqiri definately looks a real talent but would still command a decent transfer fee so there's no point thinking we will nick him for a couple of million.

He was after any decent striker in spain with a couple of hours left in the transfer window.

What can we use to entice a world class talent like aguero.

Levy:"Hi kun, would you like to come to spurs?"

Kun:" hmmm maybe what's your offer?"

Levy: half you current wages and the europa cup, oh and we're in the process of probably selling our best player in full view of the media, what do you say?"

Kun: :hello::duh:

So how are they going to help our quest to regain a top4 spot?

I'm all for signing youngsters with promise, but we need players that will slot straight into the first XI.

I'll just die if I miss scooby doo!!

I do like signings like Ceballos and Coulibaly. As Rebrab has said these sorts of signings will be important in future years with the homegrown rules plus there's always a change that we'll unearth an absolute gem like Wenger did with Fabregas.

I think if we end up in a situation where there's two players for every position and a group of talented youngsters behind that then we should be well set.

It's just that in a very glaring position at the moment we have 0 players!

Any chance Ossie and Ricky can get on to their old mate Diego and get him to put a word in for us.

Other than that faint hope there is literally zero's chance in zero of us signing Aguero. If we do I'll quite happily pay for SC's running costs for the rest of my life.
