It makes me think is Modric raging with our lack of ambition in the transfer market, is he fed up with our failure to be more aggressive, instead of all this brinkmanship and haggling.

I for one think we have missed two massive opportunities to stengthen this squad and have failed to do so.

Agreed, Levy needs to realise that to stay in the upper echelons of the league that you must continue to strenghen, not the squad but the first team and that means paying top dollar...

Over the last ten years it seems we have become the club that good players go to before they move to a "really big club".

We are becoming a fucking stepping stone, it says it all when one of the worlds best midfielders wants to go to a fucking souless club like chelsea. The reason for this is that they continue to strenghen and build whereas we qualify for the champions league and layback on our fucking lilo sipping mojitos congratulating ourselves instead of being proactive in the window and signing the players that we needed when we had the chance.

For Luka this isnt about prestige or history or he would be pining for move to man u, he just wants to play in a team that will challenge and that could have been us if we got up off our fucking arses and signed a couple of top quality strikers in the last two windows.

Anyway fook you luka, I will miss watching you play because you are a delight but we will cope without you:beer:

I was definitely caught in the moment, as much as I hate the last day Spurs transfer window rollercoaster, I love it too, until the light of day (except VDV)

Our transfer record is 16/17m...we don`t have 40m to spend on one player, Levy wouldn`t sanction it.

For me there is only one player out there that MIGHT fill Modders boots and thats Edwin Hazard. If we can get him, Adebayor, Leandro and Parker I think we would have strengthened even without Modders.

On the last day of the transfer window, as a publicity stunt....you don`t honestly believe we were serious about trying to buy those players? Aside from the fact neither had any intention of coming to Spurs.

There isnt any ITK on Hazard so dont want to talk to much in the ITK section but to answer above question he is on the left side of a 433, not technically as brilliant as Luka but a better eye for goal an amazingly skillfull dribbler, and fast.
