I thought Vertonghen had an attitude problem last season, and though his public pronouncements didn't help, my view came about mainly from watching him play. He was slow, uninterested and casual to my eyes. He looked to me like someone who didn't want to be there.
But clearly other people may have seen a fast, interested and concentrating player who was thrilled to be where he was. Or he may have been carrying an injury throughout the season, which others were aware of and I wasn't.
Such is life.

To be fair I agreed with you totally, until I saw him play for Belguim at the WC (even when winning). I watched the way he projected himself carefully and I expected a happy player, but just saw someone who had the same dour, complaining attitude once more. Maybe and hopefully that his just his outer appearance and not a true sign of his personality.:unsure:

He did seem to have an attitude problem. However, I would like to think that it was less the fact he couldn't be bothered and more the fact he viewed Sherwood as a clown and that tactically we were crap. Hopefully The Poch has had a little word. It would have been frustrating working with LVG and the Dutch squad before returning to training with Tim and Sir Les.

I can tell you, their names arn't Scrabble :p

Are you including fringe first team players like Falque in your '3 bids accepted'

He's been linked with several Spanish clubs and Rayo (who he was on loan with last season) have been having talks/bids

http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/new-deal-for-pritchard-brentford-loan-170714/

Alex Pritchard has signed a new contract until 2016 and has joined Brentford on loan until the end of the season.

He'll be moving up to the Championship, which is good. And I guess the LookslikeModric stuff was nonsense (he's not verified ITK anyway so no surprise)

I'm a bit disappointed with this. I thought he might have got some games for us this season. Either that or be sent on loan to a bigger Championship side.

No, although some fringe players will be allowed to go out on loan or even sold my references are to do with first team squad players i.e. first 18

Break clause in January - so he might be back if he plays well and/or if we think we are short due to injuries

According to Windy, youth orientated blogger who follows our youngsters a lot, he would be very surprised if he made it as part of our first team. Thinks that Championship will probably be his level.

There's the thread for Pritchard talk/news.

In here we talk bollocks about ITK

There for Pritchard, here for ITK. Got it?

Pritchard over there, in here for ITK. A concept unlikely to be wholly understood by the Spurs supporting section of the human race for another 14,000 years.

Yet plankton grasped it instantly.

@plankton

Welcome plankton, haven't seen you around much !

Doubt he'll make it at Spurs, he's 21 and just getting Championship experience

Hopefully a Championship loan this season followed by a loan at a newly promoted PL club next season and we can try and get a few million for him

Don't think Carroll will make it either

Regarding GF's ITK - bids in for 3 of our players.

We know its Dawson and Siggy.

My gut feeling is that Sandro has a tasty offer from Napoli.
Any others out there with some more educated guesses?

This seems to be happening a lot - Obika, Mason, Carroll, Pritchard. People we keep calling "the next big thing" who never get near our level. What gives? I can't imagine talented youth in London is at a minimum. How bad is our coaching?
