Cheers for the info mate although that wouldn't make any sense whatsoever.

If we sign Adebayor he'll be our main man up top, with VDV in behind. Why on Gods green earth would we keep the three of them to sit on the bench.

I would expect at least one of them to go in addition to Keane, but if thats accurate it says to me that Harry wants to go 4-4-2 with VDV on the right, Lennon as an impact sub...thats his blue print for the up coming season mg:

and that is extremely worrying if thats his intention...appreciate I'm jumping the gun here big time but I have real concerns about this.

That makes no sense. Why would hold onto 5 forwards (if we consider VDV as one) especially as we have too many players, as is. Are we just going to drop one or two from the 25 man roster?

Adebayor was/is the striker I've wanted us to sign since the summer began. I think he would be the perfect fit for us, much more than an Aguero. If he can get his mind right, I think he can be World Class because he's got everything and I reckon Harry can get the best out of him.

I'm with you on this one. My No.1 choice of those remotely possible. He's tough enough, holds the ball well, good technique, makes chances and scores them.

VDV is not a striker

but if we continue to play 4-4-1-1 or switch to another formation with 1 striker and 1 behind like a 4-2-3-1 we'd have 4 out and out strikers for 1 spot, which is why 3 strikers and VDV is what we should be going for.

the fact that adebayor said he will wait till late minutes of window to wait for real madrid tells me this is very much a back up or additional striker on a last minute deal that levy loves so much.

We wont wait for Adebayor to dilly dally over a move to Real..If we can get the Vucinic deal sorted then Adebayor wont happen aswell as Vucinic...

Rossi is still Harry's first choice..
Vucinic or Adebayor are more likely tho as Rossi has never been keen on coming to us

I'm told we are in talks with City over a deal for Adebayor and are negotiating a fee with Roma for Vucinic.

I beleive Vucinic is the only striker we will sign but Adebayor is possible as he has made it clear he would be willing to take a pay cut to join Spurs

Didn't think of that. Wouldn't surprise me at all and would be a clever move from City to do so.

Hasn't there also been talk of a loan move in which case it wouldn't matter when they'd sell him to us because he wouldn't play against City anyway.

In which case, why not sell Modric now instead of waiting til Jan/next summer and losing Bale in the same window?

Yes but we are playing VDV in behind - in a 4-4-1-1.

So if he's playing behind Adebayor, for example, when are the rest of them getting a game - that would be utter madness in terms of wages etc...and would make no financial sense whatsoever and if the young kid is being played in cup competitions that would be even less game time between the other three.
