Gotta admit, I really like it when a transfer pops up out of nowhere like this Fazio one and there's been no ITK to support it.

In terms of JJ, I'm guessing that he's deliberately playing it down in the hope of not drawing too much attention to it. This one feels like one we've snuck it under the radar of all other big clubs and gives us the chance to complete the deal before anyone else has had much of a chance to bid. Just a thought.

BAE out (saving money on wages), Fryers loaned out (minor money saved on wages), Dawson sold and Chiriches sold should really free up a large amount of money just from the defenders.

Fazio could be the only signing we make, but I wouldn't be shocked if we made another IF we can get those moves done.

How about this: we sign Musacchio AND Fazio. Benny, Dawson and Vlad(sadly) out. I think we'd be improved in the back 4. What say you?

I'm still hoping for that rumoured Remy for 3m + Dawson deal that popped up a few days ago

No as he seems to be free to leave whenever
Benny's dossing round my place at the moment.
All he does is play FIFA '11 as Tottenham and eat Corn Flakes.
His 'training regime' involves going out to get the milk and he's not quick about it either.
Funny guy though. LOL.

I fully respect Levy as a businessman but considering our situation at the moment involving instability with managers, he has to realise sometimes getting bargain prices is not the most important aspect and he just needs to bite the bullet to give our new manager, who looks a good prospect, a 100% chance to start his game play by getting the players he wants/needs. I just hope he does increase his offers so we can at least get one of MM or MS. Then by all means he can go back to being the shrewd businessman in following transfer windows.

I think Musacchio played last night.

I was referring to when they pulled him out of a friendly (Swansea or Boro I believe it was). The fact he played in a competitive match (EL) shows it was never as close as the Fazio deal appears to be.

Seems to me that these possible transfer dealings are like waiting for something close to a cross between a puzzle and a game of domino. One piece needs to be move before all the other pieces come together, something that maybe maybe not will come to pass.

Just a thought. With all these initials flyibng about the last few weeks. JJ said a strange thing - he said "far fetched" (FF). He didn't say "not happening" or "paper talk" or any other usual comment to dismiss the deal. Was a phrase with the initials FF a clue to the deal being close? ie. Far fetched (ff) Fredi fazio (ff)

What do you make of fazio? Worthwhile signing or same level as what we've already got?

I voiced my concerns in his thread already.
Like for like with Dawson. I won't say he's shit because he's decent, but he's def not an upgrade imo
