If one of them is holding out for a better offer and/or the other wants a clause (release fee?) then surely shouldn't we be running in the opposite direction and as quickly as possible? It's sounds like having a crush on a girl, said girl knows you like her, then watching her kiss someone in front of you only for the guy to palm her off and then having her turn around and saying she likes you.... unless you're desperate you'd tell her where to go.

Well I suppose the later the evening gets, and the more beers supped, said girl usually appears a most worthwhile proposition at least.

If the talk really is about Balde then we need to move on. Juve might be stringing this out ATM, bit that's because they have the best hand. If it comes to a point where it looks like he could go elsewhere they will just pay the price required. This could leave us stranded on deadline day with nowhere else left to go. As I say if it is Balde then we need to give him a deadline and move on because Juve aren't in two minds about him, they just want him as cheap as possible.
Well thats what we do, mate. Wait it out till deadline day only to get left at the alter.

Here is my informed advice. STOP reading online, twitter fed daily fails, reporters giving their 'hit based nonsense'. All is very, very, very good. Yes, things can change. I am personally pleasantly surprised as I thought all was lost.

As I have stated already, targets we thought had died a painful death has come alive again. A little hint; There are 2 specific forward players (we would take one) their club wants them to commit to us, but they are waiting to see if their choice will stump up the cash. One of the 2 would sign with a clause. We are not prepared to be anybody's stepping stone.

My opinion on Dele changing agents, is nothing to do with a possible transfer 12 months time. He is beyond very happy.

Note: all players contracts at close of window will be negotiated with open to negotiate again as we enter our new stadium. Only players we want to offer those terms will be offered.

Now if you want to keep on reading the spill and nonsense elsewhere, you are truly welcomed. If you know the DD the governors do to verify sources, that alone should give you confidence.

Respectfully, I will not be replying in any form to this post;)
Thanks for info and yer time dude.

Sounds like Juve are doing to Lazio with Balde, what we are doing to Everton with Barkley....

This transfer window has really brought home how far behind the tabloids are getting with info. on transfers. Ten or twenty years ago they were the first to break big stories but now they are almost inconsequential as they are well behind with what is going on with transfers.

The tabloids are inconsequential in every way these days.

Essentially this. Although if I was a player, if there were two clubs in for me, I would prefer to go to the one that actually really wanted me.

To be honest, if he is so dead set on going to Juve that he is insisting on some sort of clause, we should just move on. We need players that want to prove something, not players that feel coming to Spurs is a punishment.

Like this a lot. The interview Jenas gave about his contracts and DL gives us some insight in how the club really treat players they want. This makes far more sense to me than the daily drivel about wages/contracts etc

You do realise that hercules killed his children?
He's certainly killed it ITK wise  (that's the positive meaning, not the head bashing family killing meaning)

I agree with Trix as well. IF the latest ITK suggests Keita, I do hope we have a deadline, because I could see it going south on deadline day otherwise.

We are set for a huge celebration at the end of this window, or a huge sucker punch. Do any historians in here know which has traditionally been more common at spurs?

I refuse to get my hopes up. Stuff like a player waiting on another club to come in with barely a week left just sounds like the script to a disappointing deadline day where we run out of time.
The thing is, if we get Barkley and Aurier done which looks likey then Id be reasonably happy with that. Anything else is a bonus.

A&C probably just started the thread when he was logged on the wrong account and couldn't be bothered to go back and change it :ROFLMAO:

But I'll happily buy into the idea that it means something..

Implication is the selling clubs are keen for the player to go to us, whilst the player is holding out for somewhere else.

Would I be wise saying that the selling clubs are foreign as they don't want to sell to rivals?!!

Cant beat the salt and vinegar ones.

We're signing soneone called Smiths?

Well we all know how the Walkers one panned out.

Feckin Man crispy.

Would have loved Walker to stay, along with most of the others who've progressed steadily over last season or two.

Just adding that bit of quality and potential without cashing in on current crop.

Nature of the beast I guess regarding our standing in the financial aspect of the game.

Again, really intrigued to see where we end up at the end of this window. So many pros and cons. So many names, ITK snippets. Think we're owed an outstanding end to this window after last summers Sissokos debacle.

Thanks to all the ITK efforts in sourcing and sharing information.
