Latest ITK from the fox seems confusing, or is it just me?
Players holding out until after Euro's to see if they can get better deals, Eriksen situation, etc.

PLEASE LEVY NOT THE SAME BULLSHIT AGAIN

Well it does seem strange to me that none of the major players have extended their contracts yet, I thought Poch signing would be the catalyst.

We have three/four players of similar ilk lined up for the striker/attacking role, Batman is one of those, but source won't give me any more names. We are also looking for an AM either for competition for Eriksen or replacement if he goes.

This is the most intriguing bit of ITK for me. Say Eriksen wants to go to Juve or Roma or similar for big bucks. How would people feel throwing that towards a Lacazette or Denis? It's too risky for me because Eriksen means so much to the way we play

Pritchard.

While we all hope so and we have been so anxious to see him in action, I think it is far-fetched right now to consider that a realistic possibility. We are far too guilty of overrating Pritchard on here, underrating Erisken, or quite easily doing both.

And while Eriksen does have his off games and weaknesses as a player, he just had arguably his best season for us.

We shouldn't sell any of our important players, unless our manager wants rid. Even if they want to go. It's time we ended this cycle, otherwise we will be forever on this hamsters wheel of success.

I think the Italian stuff is more of a bargaining chip in his contract negotiations to be fair. With the new TV money he should be worth £80-100k really. He was on Spurs website recently saying how much he loves playing in this team.

Only reason we'd sell him IMHO is if Poch isn't sure of him.

I think Eriksen may jump at the chance to play in Italy, personally. Perfect pace for him.

I still have reservations about him as well tbh.

I think Pritchard would surprise people.

We'd still buy for like if Eriksen did go, but Pritchard needs to be brought properly into the fold.

If he'd have been used last season instead of sending him off on a batshit loan, he'd have properly competed with Christian imo.

Yeah, we really are going to have to start paying higher wages now whether we have a stadium to pay for or not.

Read Eriksen is currently on 30k a week. Crazy money in the context of "real life", but peanuts really in the world of PL football.

Mason is a good player who along with Bentaleb took us to 5th previous season. No way we should be selling him for paltry 5m. Infact he is worth minimum 10m IMO. His performances of late has been bad becuase of injuries.

I would rather keep in squad for next year & hope he will recover from injury & form, than selling him for such small amount

So depressing how far behind Chelsea we are. They get £60M just for kit. We get less for stadium and kit together.

Its the fact. Thats what years of success on field gives you.

But, End of the day, this is just a number.
What they get from these deals, they waste it on unnecessary players. While we in most years, use the money wisely & are debt free.

30m to us is used for wisely than a 60m to Chelsea.

Remember guys, this right now is agent hour. It just so happens Eriksen is the only real first XI player not at the Euro's with his national team. Clubs have just had an extra £50m land in their pocket, and the wheels will start turning trying to get their players better deals. As another poster above said, Erikson is a 80-100k type player, and he and his agent know that. I expect we will end up paying him that, but I wouldn't be surprised if agents are putting the feelers out to start testing the water.

It's a number that is depressing. We are in CL, they aren't. We have an awesome new stadium coming, theirs will take years. We have a far bigger fan base than them. We have the best young team in the country, their squad requires total overhaul. Yet still they can get £60M a season just for their kit. Incredibly depressing to think the objective perception is that Chelsea is that much of a bigger club than Tottenham.

Agree. Young, English/Homegrown and clearly has fight, spirit and is very talented. Would be really disappointed if he went for less than £10m, particularly given the insane sums being quoted for players like Berahino and Benteke.

Question from sponsor is - who buys these kit ? Fans , ofcourse.

I would dispute "we have a bigger fan base than them". In a traditional sense we may have that. But reality is they have a massive fan base than us. Go to India or China or African countries, unfortunately they have a bigger fan base than us. Bigger fan base means more shirts sold.

We have not won a trophy for 7 years. They have won probably more than 7 trophies in that 7 years.

Depressing as it may sound for a Spurs fan, this is the reality. We can't be in denial of this.

What you're doing is comparing the present season and extrapolating from that 1 season sample the possible future of the 2 clubs.

What Nike are doing is hoping that Chelsea's past performance over the last few years is a better indication of future performance.

It's not unreasonable. They have been a much more successful club in recent years. Nike aren't going to throw us money in case we fail to capitalise on this season.

The bit about personal image deals complicating the kit deal is nonsense. Loads of big clubs with bIg kit deals have star players sponsored by other companies. The biggest being Real with Adidas and Ronaldo with Nike.

I'm sorry but we don't have a far bigger fan base than Chelsea - and to suggest so is ludicrous. They are much bigger worldwide, because of constant CL participation and icons like Drogba, Lampard and others.
