My daughter had been watching finding Nemo this morning for the first time and just totally and spectacularly lost her shit when he pretended to be dead. I've since retreated back to bed for a "nap" and she's her mothers problem now

However what do I find when I get in here? Lamelas playing for Roma, Chiriches (sic) has been announced their side but hasn't even been to London yet, we're supposedly looking at Hulk for £30m plus obscene wages and this Portuguese winger with the worst YouTube compilation since Lindsay Lohan's "how to elegantly get out of your car" video is apparently going to cost nearly £20m

Fuck. Me.

This is the window of all windows and there's nowhere I'd rather be hahaha...

The Vadillo ITK is good if, and only if, it's in addition to the likes of Lamela and Eriksen.

I'm all for us bringing in young talent, but it has to be in addition to sorting out the here and now.

Lamela, Eriksen and Chiriches would be a good start.

Vadillo ought to be loaned out to some club, perhaps back to Betis, immediately. Well unless he has developed massively from last season.

Call me pessimistic, but I'm starting get the feeling that this window will end with the usual Spurs clusterfuck. Bale goes, adequate replacements don't sign and DL is left running around with a wheelbarrow full of cash, before signing Adam Lallana for 17m and Jimmy Kebe for 12m at 11:55 on deadline day. I've seen this movie before.

I have to agree, I wonder if there is a separate kitty for Vadillo/Halikovic type signings. The interesting thing with Halilovic, was it was mentioned that we'd getting a three for the price of one deal. Signing him meant his whole family would come over, including his two yoinger brothers currently in Dinamo's youth setup.

Fwiw, I think we will get Lamela and Chiriches in the next day or so, and Eriksen too nearer the window close. Opinion only, once Lamela is done, Bale will be announced. ITK suggested we knew what it would take to get Eriksen, I believe the phrase from Jasper was 'ours to say no', so may go back once other stuff is confirmed. I think despite his CL claim, he will indeed see us a good move. We're actively looking to improve, squad looks better, and Jan is already here to convince him. PL is also a big draw.

For me it's because we don't have a bottomless pit of money and I'd like to see spending to improve the first 11...now. Especially when/if Bale leaves. We need quality wide attacking players and have a week to get 2.
