Five days to go and still the ITK has all but dried up. The usual rumours of 'something big' are circulating but i've heard that one often enough to know not to hold my breath waiting.

Media reports that we are in for Scott Parker were discussed in yesterdays thread and should now be directed to the Player thread.

Two snippets from yesterday, first up was JACOB, explaining his 'STORM' cryptic........

STORM Was Ade & Lass.
Took it's time in coming.
STORM referred to the upset that two former arsenal players could cause with the fans and also Stars of Real Madrid (st o rm). Sorry if I was a bit creative for some with the word 'stars'.
Some people asked why I kept It cryptic. Back when I first posted on 30th July their names were not being banded about the press as they are now.
Everything passed on in good faith. Sorry it's frustrating for some, I can only pass on what I feel won't compromise me personally.
Hope you guys ready for a racey few days.

Nice to see. Hopefully a trend that will catch on.

My contact went to the game last night and I got this text from him at half time.

"One present unwrapped tonight, but the big one is still under the tree"

I have tried to call him for more info, but not getting through, ,but he has said before that it looked like we were trying for someone special. :shrug:

And there's no need to fill the threads with guesses today either. That was also done yesterday.

Actually, today should be very quiet in this thread. Until some new ITK to talk about crops up.

We were on a high yesterday with the signing of Ade and the rumours of a big present to be unwrapped. Today I forsee misery, turning to anger, turning to despair, then about 15:00 someone will turn up with a little glimmer of hope and everyone will get excited again.

In short FA will happen today. Mystic Lilbaz has spoken.

A&C spot on with heard all this before about the show piece singing.
Since the internet started, I've trawled spurs sites every window, and always there have been rumours of something big about to happen.
Regardles of who we signed there was always a bigger catch that we were reeling in...normally one of the top 5 players in the world. To me Adebayor is as good as we can get this year, and he is good. Its like my 2 year old daughter, whatever I buy her an Ice cream she has a lick, then gets bored and wants something better.
To non spurs fans we are not really a very big club, we have not won our domestic league since Harold Macmillan was PM, although now we have the first Etonian as PM since Macmillan so maybe this is a sign of a return to the glory days (or not). Maybe Levy can use this when speaking to Kaka's people, as kaka ponders away trips to Shamrock rovers on a 1/3 rd of the wages he is on.

It's not that crazy, if it's understood that Kaka and Real Madrid are just using us to get him back up to full fitness until Jan, when he goes back to Madrid in time for the knockout rounds of the Champion's League.

Is there any ITK to add to this as it looks like he is getting the no 5 shirt?

but so does a reliable independent so its not that ground breaking. a good signing if it happens but guessing it'll end diarra interest.

Well if that is the case, then he should be in the stands for the Man City match.

Good signing IMO as he adds quality to the bench, which is what we need. Wilson has a great engine and a good tackler, but Parker has equally but can also play football.

Still not ahead of Sandro in the DM department though. Can't wait for him to return.

The talk is Diarra and Parker - there is a midfielder going the other way to West Ham.

If it is done I would imagine that it would be 5m tops. This is the figure that was set by levy when Harry said he wanted him. 2 players on loan? If true I'd say bostock (because they wanted him before) and Harry Kane !
