Wonder what has made him, finally, come out and state who "yellow" was?

Didn't the Adebayor stuff start to become more prominent after he confirmed the identity of "blue"?

I am not blowing smoke up his arse just there has been so much stuff posted/ speculated this summer I cant remember the chain of events.

So more Leandro stories to pop up between now and the 31st?

I bet Modric has never heard of Leandro. Why would he possibly have to be cryptic about Adebayor or Damiao? We were heavily linked with both in the press. He'd be a liar if he said he hasn't changed who blue and yellow are to fit with who we have a chance of buying.

I could see how Adebayor and Rossi may encourage Modric to stay, not so much Adebayor and Leandro. Modric may not have even known who Leandro was to be honest :wink:

I take that to mean that Leandro is coming in then.

Also, I can't believe any communication with West Ham that doesn't end in the nearest stapler being thrown at someone's head.

We've reported each other to the police, trying to rob them of what they see as their rightful future and in the process tarring them with a brush that is going to make them look like even bigger amateurs. So, oh yeah, can we just do a quick deal for your best player Karen?

Yellow wasn't always about him no. POTL was jaundice earlier in the window and was considering revealling himself but DL said if he revealed himself then that would mean future transfer failings would probably be blamed on him rather than a faceless internet ITK. At that point, Damiao became "yellow"

We don't know what the conversation was. He could've voiced his frustration to Levy that we're weak up front, therefore any forward signing might just be the icing on his new contract cake.

And therein lies the the beauty of the cryptic.... as we have all proven yellow could be made to fit any number of players. On the plus side hopefully we're signing Leandro this window!

Yellow was never Rossi, POTL once said (as someone posted again yesterday) Bap Bap Americano + Blue & Yellow. So Rossi was always in addition to these guys. Leandro makes sense, I hope we get him in now so we can slowly bring him on over the season, like Sandro.

Still hoping for Diarra over Parker, but if that is a no go, personally would be happyish with Parker - short term fix, but will prob have the same immediate impact that wilson had when he joined.

I think Diarra is the better player but Parker is still an improvement on what we've got so is still a good signing if it happens. I wouldn't rule out both coming in but that would probably mean one of Hudd or Modders leaving.

After watching v MANU I would be very happy just to have 2 fit and willing CM who can last 94 mins !:grin:

There are lost tribes in deepest , darkest South American rain forests that were aware of our interest in Adebayor and Leandro. Why the fuck would he need to be cryptic about it?

And I thought he said blue & yellow would convince Modric to stay? I can't imagine Modric looking at some fairly unknown Brazilian kid coming in and saying "yep...this is the club for me."

Leandro may be a kid, a very highly rated one at that, but throwing 16-18m on him is still a statement, breaking our transfer record in the process. Maybe not what we hoped for, but give him a year, if he progresses like Sandro has done, then we wouldn't even need to replace Ade if/when he goes. Possibly a more shrewed signing than LLorente, who may have cost us double, and may have already reached his peak??

That was me, never thought Rossi was yellow but I also went on to say yellow couldn't possibly be Leanadro as how would that show Modric our ambition. Aqkuyid had just said that he though Kaka was yellow and that made more sense., all moot now.

I hope him finaly revelaing who Yellow is means he is close to signing but best yet we can all stop guessing!!

There is no way that Blue and Yellow was originally Adebayor/Leandro and POTL has lost a lot of credibility with this.

We were heavily linked with Leandro before POTL started with B&Y and then he went on to say how B&Y was a world class signing that'd get us all excited. Not some kid from Brazil we already knew about.
