because selling to west london scum and selling to one of the greatest teams on the planet are two totally different things.

So now we're discussing selling Sandro when he becomes a world class player? Firstly why are we discussing a possible transfer that may or may not happen in a few seasons? Secondly it is this small club mentality that we will inevitably lose our best players that hinders our progress. Not having a go at anyone but I believe in two seasons time we will have a world class stadium, world class players like Sandro, Modric,Bale, Walker and Kaboul, and be challenging for the title and playing in CL. But I guess thats just me.

Or Papa Bouba Diop...aka the Wardrobe.

I would like to know from any ITKs what is going on Financially this transfer window in that we have not spent any money (got 2 very good players) and look like only spending 5-6 Million on Parker while bringing in money from Ohara,Wilson and possibly Crouch,Hutton,Gio. Feels like we may be saving for the stadium while trying to do some clever (finacially) deals. Or is the money there to spend just not the opportunity?

I hope that Jermain Defoe ITK is about on midnight on deadline day to explain if no one signs.

Maybe it's Kaka

IIRC, a couple of weeks back agent Barry Silkman was on SSN talking about potential Arsenal signings and mentioned Bartra. He said that Harry had spoken to him about the Barca CB, after being very impressed in the 1-1 friendly draw with Barca a few seasons back.

Think that was Fontas.

Who is Jermaine_Defoe (The ITK, not the player) Does he have previous?

He's said things before, and he's considered itk enough to be worthy of putting on the RO by the mods, so let's give him the benefit of the doubt.

My take on it is that we're building up to go out all guns blazing on a big transfer on deadline day. I'm guessing we are willing to throw big money at some big targets if they are still available.

That's why all these 'big signing' suggestions are always referring to deadline day deals. Levy is optimistic that he can do another VDV, and that optimism is spreading to the staff and associates.

Personally I don't think we'll sign anyone on deadline day. And you can quote me on that.

I'm sure you'll be devastated to have that quoted back at you on deadline day if we sign a superstar

That's my betting style

Honestly though, for the sake of sanity...we won't have any last minute signings.

Do people realise how unusual and precarious the VDV signing was? It could so easily have not happened. We got very, very lucky with that one.

Lighting doesn't strike twice.

We won't sign anyone on deadline day.

That's a bit of a daft statement to make, maybe not anyone out of the blue, but Parker for instance could drag on until deadline day.

We may well sign someone on deadline day, but I'd suggest that we'll know about the deal before deadline day. It's coming soon now though, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

I think we'll bring in Parker and one other. They may be a big name, but I'd imagine it's unlikely.

To be honest I'd ignore me. I've been drinking rum for several hours and I'm just pleased that I can still type correctly

I do think D-Day could be anti-climactic, every year SSN nake a massive hoo-ha over it and all that really happens is a load of lower league moves and say 4 or 5 moves that have been edging along for days happen in the Prem. The VDV deal was very much out of the ordinary, the one occasion something like that has happend to us in probably the last 10 windows, so anyone excited about a massive deal will be disappointed I fear.
